He didn't do anything this game other than hand the ball off. Let's see what he does when his running game isn't firing on all cylinders
This team was 4-12 last year. You are right, of course, but don’t discount his contributions. This team is sparkling when JG starts and gets to pick Bosa when JG is on the shelf.

It wasn't all Jimmy. They radically improved their defense this year. In fact, I would argue the addition of Bosa could be more responsible for the radical turn around of the 49ers than Garoppolo.

They didn't HAVE to have Jimmy throw a million times today...Kittle's first pass was in the 2nd half. KC is going to see all kinds of aerial fireworks. Shanahan has a lot up his sleeve...gave KC little today.

2017. 5-0 w JG. Season record : 6-10.

Of course other players play a significant role. My original comment was that JG wins a lot of games he starts. Can’t see how that is such an outlandish comment.

I didn't say it is an outlandish comment. I am just pointing out that San Fran won a lot of games this year the same way the Patriots did - on defense. They arguably had the best defense in the league this year considering the Patriots' defense sputtered a bit down the stretch.

Jimmy has audible abilities and unselfishly put the team above his personal stats today. So it makes sense the sports world will sht on him and suggest he was carried by the team. Peyton Manning in 2015 was carried by the team. Jimmy played game manager today because why stop running the ball when the other team can't stop it? We always hear on these same threads..why, why, why would you stop doing something that works?!?! I'm guessing a lot of people thinking that Shanahan is "afraid" to let Jimmy air it out are going to look foolish in two weeks.

Always thought the confetti was a bit too much after AFCCG/NFCCGs.

I think it's a big deal being a conference champion we are just Patriots fans though so it has lost its prestige with us

When you factor in AFCCGs and SBs, Brady has been the winner in 15 confetti drops and been in the stadium (winner or loser) for 22 confetti drops. How ridiculous is that?

What a guy. Demands the highest contract in the league. Has $14M receiver and $10M tight end. Has best pass protection in the league (by multiple metrics). Got last coach fired. Was expected to finally play like Tom Brady and go toe-to-toe with an elite defense and keep them in the game. Sht the bed once again and did absolutely nothing when the game was within reach. Looked like he gave up in the second quarter and you could see him muttering angrily, clearly mad at everyone else.

As much as I love seeing Rodgers fail, the 49ers are just a horrible matchup for them.

Aaron Rodgers: “This window is open for us”
This one is special because it became fun again,” Rodgers said of the 2019 campaign. (This means that it wasn’t fun for him in prior seasons. Which further confirms that something significant was amiss in the latter years of the Mike McCarthy tenure, no matter how hard Rodgers may have tried to push back against that reality as it was unfolding.)

“I wouldn’t say this was our most talented team,” Rodgers added, “but neither was 2010. And we just found a way.”
Really?

As much as I love seeing Rodgers fail, the 49ers are just a horrible matchup for them.

In the first half he threw for 65 yards, two fumbles (one lost), one interception, ZERO points. Sure, they are a very though out, but isn’t the highest paid player in the league, and a supposed “all-time great” supposed to at least make it competitive? This was a practice squad QB performance until the Niners loosened up in a soft zone.

They arguably had the best defense in the league this year considering the Patriots' defense sputtered a bit down the stretch.
But so did the 49ers' D. They allowed the Cardinals to put up 25 and 26 on them. The Seahawks had 27 and 21. Then you had the Saints with 46. Falcons and Rams also put up 29 and 31 on them respectively.

Revis still not over Sherman trash talking him a few years ago lol

It's crazy. Mostert isn't getting touched until he's well onto 2nd level. It's not just the OL, it's also the TE, and of course the best FB in football right now.

Yeah, and who the heck is this Mostert guy? It seems every game, Shanahan runs all his backs and whoever is having the most luck, he sticks with them. And in almost every game, one does. Crazy.

Should be a fun Super Bowl - which I will miss because someone decided to start a meeting at 6 pm on Sunday February 2nd!

Poor Aaron...let down by the morons around him again. First McCarthy now LaFleour.

Anyone remember the 2014 NFC title game when the Packers picked off Russell Wilson five times and did everything imaginable to win easily, but he completely choked and they lost?

Wasn't that the game where GB picked off a pass late in the game and instead of running it back for a clinching TD the DB dropped to the ground instead?

Did I hear correctly, that JG threw less than 10 passes for less than 100 yards and had a QB rating over 100? No wonder I can't stand that stat.
