He’s following the game plan. Packers would be playing much differently if they were playing an incompetent QB (see: Chiefs today.) When he needs to throw a lot, he’s a damn good passer. The guy is fine not being the hero as long as they win. Could you imagine a game plan where Erin Rodgers throws 6 times? He’d walk out in protest.

I agree somewhat. He did perform well for the game plan, but he has been wildly inconsistent this year. There are games where he played like he was an All World QB and others where he absolutely sucked . (including last week). I think that is part of the reason the game plan the last two weeks was to keep the ball out of his hand. You don't know which Jimmy G will show up from week to week.
