WEEI used to do that with the Sox Manager but who wouldn't love to dine with BB.

What a great thing you did and BB is the man , things like this make me appreciate him even more than before ( if that is even possible ).

I’d send him my book called “Football Scouting Methods” but I think he probably already has it .

Good for you, and good for BB -- thanks so much for sharing.

I met BB when he first became HC of the NEP in spring of 2000, was at a function with Jim Brown who was there for his Amer I Can program. I was charged with greeting BB with that lame green suit he used to wear and thought he was just another JAG coach that we had become accustomed to as long time Pats fans.

Had my pix taken with Jim Brown, but kind of ignored BB (kick myself in the ass for that)... but remember Jim Brown saying at that meeting when he acknowledged BB: "If Michael Jordan did as much as BB did for the community, the world would be a different place"..

I know BB gives back more than we know.. and is a gentleman off the field.

Who'd a thought BB as vain. That picture has to be at least 10 years old. How old do you think the picture is?

Really neat. I have an autographed Brady Jersey personally addressed to me (i.e., with my name on it) with a nice little note but had to pay Tom a lot of money at one of his autograph sessions. Still I love it and it hangs beautifully on my wall.

Yes. Also, I forgot to add: "Bill, whose decision was it to cut AB and why? Could you have kept him somehow? Why do the Patriots have such a hard time finding quality wide receivers in the draft?"

I have a buddy who is in the Sports Autograph scene. He told me that it's very rare for Belichick to give a free floating autograph. That it's typically intertwined with the personalization. He said that BB really must have loved the books to do it the way he did..

That's a very good question. The house was my Dad's childhood home. None of the family went to the Naval Academy. My grandfather was Army during WWII and my Dad was Air Force. The only thing we could think of is that my Grandfather met someone who sent him the books at some point and they were put on a book shelf and forgotten.
