I remember watching the Pro Bowl when players took it seriously. I also recall the Playoff Bowl -- some of you are too young to remember, but before the NFL-AFL merger the two NFL conference title game losers (Eastern and Western) would square off for third place in the Miami Orange Bowl. It would be like last year's conference championship losers Saints and Chiefs playing a consolation game. It could be fun to see the league resurrect that idea as a replacement for the Pro Bowl game, make it worthwhile for the players financially so they feel they have a stake in it. The only downside is that the loser ends the season with two playoff losses.

Too true. I torn my ACL playing flag when changing direction guys in the pro bowl won’t do that they just jog.

I would think that players would need to paid a lot for players to risk injuries.

I stand corrected. That is the long snapper. That team is tough and intimidating. You should see the menacing stare of their water boy...it will be on the next pro bowl promo pic that includes and coaching and equipment staff.

Harbaugh sounding desperate defending L. Jackson when asked about Joe Burrow. Goes on to list all the QBs who struggled in the postseason before finding success there. Dude sounds pathetic...imagine listing all the QBs who got slapped around in the playoffs after appearing to be great, and then proving year after year they weren’t cut out for
The postseason? He knows he has reason to be legit scared after these two playoff meltdowns. PFT comments are as you’d expect.

Also should point out that Jackson crapped the bad in his last two bowl games at Louisville.

True, but I don’t remember ****y Patriots players running their mouths about how they’re going to win the Super Bowl, insulting the defending champs about their effort, talking about how great they are all season. Patriots were screwed with injury and offensive lack of talent. They made a lot of mistakes and had a lot of bad luck. It wasn’t their year, unfortunately, because that was a great defense. But the Ravens had everything going for them, and this really was their year in every way imaginable. The Patriots at least were gutsy as always, losing a hard fought defensive struggle in the cold. The Ravens were just completely embarrassed on both sides of the ball.

I can't believe there actually is a Vegas betting line on the Pro Bowl. Even with all those Ravens the AFC only is a 1.5-point favorite.

I thought that the SB team and their coaches couldn't participate in the Pro Bowl. Oh, that's right, the Ratbirds didn't make it to the SB.
