I know - what the heck happened!

They were making an interesting point on the radio this morning (I know, I know - an oxymoron). I guess Chara is going to be out tonight and maybe later this week as he has to have some hardware removed from his face from his broken jaw last year. They were wondering if McAvoy will play better being paired with someone else, and that this might be a good time to see if Chara is holding McAvoy back. They pointed out he has no goals this year, but that he plays more minutes than any other D-man, so they must trust him. I'll be watching this issue, although tonight they play the Capitals so I suppose it's another L...sigh...

it will be interesting to see how McAvoy plays. the team could use more offense from him. The losing is really getting old.

Well that was as good an opening period against a quality opponent as you could hope to see. The most the B's have ever scored on Holtby in a game is 4 and they hung that on him in the first 20. Not too shabby, great to see them start strong again.

7-3

Statement. Time to turn this thing around before the division catches up.

Nice to finally win a damn game. it's been awhile.

Strong start, solid finish and rugged inbetween against a chippy Caps team. Helluva day at the office for the men in black. More of the same please

that's one way to avoid overtime

It doesn't seem to me that McAvoy played any differently without Chara (only a one game sample anyway), and he got hurt by the head-hunting Washington Capitals (WTH was that? Incredibly sore losers!).

Luckily the Bruins have recovered their mojo. It was nice to watch them beat the Sabers for the 2nd time in a row after that crappy game yesterday by the Pats.

Two beyond soft bad goals given up today. debrusk just coughing it up right in front of the net. :mad:Frustration level 10.

What the hell just happened? Creating new ways to lose shootouts.

Well he have a snowflake team ...
I'd rather be watching the RI Reds in the old arena in Providence.

The Backes situation is... interesting to say the least. Turns out there's more to it than him just walking away leaving a cap hole behind him. Surprisingly (considering it's penned by Haggerty) good breakdown of where it's at:

Haggerty: Backes won't report to AHL, so now what?
