Can't read into that if he admitted guilt or not, or if the state's case was weak due to improper entry by the police.

Maybe they just all agreed on this to save everyone's time (except Chung's 40 hours of drug-abuse related community service).

That sounds like a good outcome for him. If he accepted, that must mean he didn’t like his chances of getting off w/o some kind of punishment or the details being unfavourable.

I wonder if he returns in 2020. While there are many former Patriots in HC / GM spots across the league, I’d think there won’t be an aggressive $ fueled bidding war.

I don't know if he'll be back but I can say with a good amount of confidence the decision won't have anything to do with this "incident".

Even the community service — Patriots players including Chung spend double-digit hours on this stuff every year. Chung might have thought this is no punishment at all because he’s doing it anyway, it just has to specifically be for anti-drug causes.

Yeah but he also has to truck up to New Hampshire for it. It's probably not great for the causes he actually believes in, and hopefully the drug-abuse service isn't for programs that are proven not to work like DARE was.

Roger will suspend him for 2 weeks. He's basically on probation for 2 years with full charges coming back at any time if he slips. More to this story than an innocent mishap.

As I read it, if Chung is clean on the drug tests and has no other criminal incidents that arise in he next 2 years, the charges are essentially null and void. Its as if they never happened.

He will not be a Patriot at some point in serving his conditions. Patriots are still hated from the reader's responses in the article. Thought the verdict was fair for a first time offense.

Chung is fine. He always was going to be fine. He might get 1-2 games from Goodell, but the much bigger issue is whether or not he can regain his pre-2019 form with injuries and old age catching up to him quickly. I think it’s time to see what Joejuan can do in that role.

For half of it. 20 hours in NH...just go up for a couple of weeks of vacation in between camps sessions at the facility this summer. Done.

This is a common result in minor first offense criminal cases, basically the state is saying we are going to drop the charges if the defendant doesn’t commit another crime in the next two years.

So after two years If Chung adheres to the conditions, the state will drop the charges.

So no conviction, no suspension.

Just a guess...

Chung didn’t want to reveal the person that left the cocaine at his place, so he took the fall.

Not many can do coke casually and it’s obvious Patrick doesn’t have a cocaine problem

I'm pretty sure that sort of agreement doesn't involve any admission of guilt.
