You do not just factor in the chance of converting, but what are the chances you do anything if you convert (and the risk of failing). That is why going for it on 4th and 5 at your own 30 is usually a bad play. You still are a long ways from scoring even if you convert, whereas failure puts the other team on the doorstep of scoring.

Maybe I'm over exaggerating but he says the Ravens beat themselves and answers "14-2" when asked how the Ravens team will be remembered.

I really thought they should of kicked the FG to go 14-9. I know they went for it a few other times but that one I really didn't understand. I agree with others you can't base it only on math. The momentum swing a stop produces is massive and that alone makes it a massive risk.

Of course he has to improve in that area. I've been the first to admit that but he's already made incredible strides. Those that deny it are the same ones that said he'd never succeed as a QB.

Let's not forget the tipped/dropped passes. Awful defense. Coaching mistakes and dumb penalties.

Also he was never in panic mode throwing into double coverage off his back foot bad. He had a bad game like most of the team.

Let's be honest most here don't know what they're talking abt in general but are completely clueless on Jackson to give a valid opinion.

Does Vrabel really count as part of the coaching tree?

Considering he never coached under Bill I'd say no. Patriots-tree sure so we can still say our imprint is all over the league.

I'm not saying I always go with the math but I think teams should loosen up on it. I like how the Raven's dealt with 4th down this year for instance. It didn't work today but 1 game doesn't disprove anything. Of course you need to consider your team and opponent too and not just go by math.

What analytics ignores, is that not evrey defense is the same. Some D's are very stout against runs up the middle.

Yes Titans beat us...But Vrabel is Patriots royalty, helped bring SB's to New England. Also would be super funny if Tannehill won a SB in Miami, the year after the Dolphins gave him away for nothing.

The sheer embarrassment of seeing the Dolphins humiliated in their own stadium by their own stupidity would be fantastic!!!

I think mine is:

Titans - They never won a SB..and we can say we lost to the champs by a point basically. Logan Ryan too.

Texans - BOB and I like DeShaun Watson and J J.

Chiefs - I like Mahomes and would like to see Andy Reid win once.

Seahawks - They play fun football...always entertaining.

Niners - Jimmy G, but man...their fans are super arrogant.

Packers - No connection and don't want them to have more NFL titles.

To inflate the mythos that is the Belichick method, Is like to say that being a player for the Patriots does indoctrinate you with Belichickian theory, as he puts importance into the input of his players, which in turn motivates them to think from a game-planning perspective, rather than just executing.

I see KC getting to the SB. I think they would destroy GB or Seattle. But San Francisco would be a terrible matchup for them. 49ers are the one team that could really get to Mahomes imo. And I think their defense matches up terribly against that 49ers offense. But alot to play for before SB 54.

I’m saying don’t start with the “this game isn’t on Lamar...” stuff. Just save it for a few days from now at the very least. Your opinions are general respected, but right now, without even watching the film, immediately saying LJ isn’t to blame for the loss comes across as desperate. It sure looked like he was the biggest reason for the loss, just like last postseason.
