Give Brady Whatever He Wants

I’m sure Brady would gladly take less if the Patriots pull off a trade for OBJ or signed AB which is both highly unlikely.

The problem most people on this board are still sleeping on is that’s it’s highly unlikely to land elite talent. Brady is not going to wait until the draft to see how it unfolds. He will be one of the first people to sign in free agency.
Where do you suggest he might be going? There's a good argument against every prospective landing spot for him outside New England.

No. He wouldn't. Because his body would have broken down just the same. When you have an arthritic elbow, you can't throw 2000+ passes (games plus practices) a year. You just can't. It doesn't matter what magic water Guerro feeds him. Sandy Koufax knew that and it's why he went out on top at age 30.
Your right he would be better

This thread is a microcosm of America's divided society. Shared perception of reality no longer exists. o_O
It never did, it’s just more visible now.

Not the Chargers.

Everything is perfect there both personally for Brady closer to his parents and professionally adopting those playmakers on offense.

If Melvin Gordon leaves just draft Dobbins from Ohio State. The Chatgers pick 6th. What else do you need TOM? AB wants to play with Brady.

Can you imagine Allen, AB and Williams?

People here are just in denial. Favre, P Manning, Namath, Unitas, Montana all left. They are the Mount Rushmore of NFL QBs and they picked up and moved on. Either the Greats retire with the same club like Elway and Aikman or they leave and keep playing.

Brady stated that he is not retiring.

sometimes you have to remove the emotion to allow the brain to fully function

I love Jimmy. He graded out as QB2 when most were struggling to spell his name. Doesn't sound far fetched now but at the time many had him outside the top 3, even top 5. I know the majority of this board hated the pick.

But remember . . . the Patriots can’t draft.

I liked the pick, but also thought they had to trade him.

Are you changing your stance from 40 per year to 40 guaranteed?
I wouldn't really call it a stance but two hypotheticals in the form of a contract structure.

Would fans pay Tom 2y/~$80m which would most likely include ~$40m in guarantees.

The questions are certainly around worth, market demand and cap hits which influence the team's ability to maneauver.

Fans say give him what he wants. What if he wanted that? What if some
desperate team offered him that?

Would fans match it?

So the root of your response to the "give Tom what he wants" post is a scenario of Brady becoming a narcissistic ****tard?

Might as well started your " point " with a billion dollars.

He's not going to ask for 40 or 30 million per year. Brady wants to win and understands the salary cap. He'll ask for something reasonable.

Exactly.

There are fans who are not thinking clearly right now...like the OP.

With that said I don't think Tom asking for/getting $40m guaranteed in the open market is not out of the question.

He's not going to the Chargers and try teaching offense to Anthony Lynn. He'll be back with the Patriots for a one-year curtain call.

That's a 16th Century understanding of how humans function. The reality is that the intellect is run by emotion. The desire to be "logical" comes from an emotional need.

You do have emotion about your opinion on this. You may be trying to wall off certain feelings in order to prioritize other feelings, but even that walling off process is an emotionally fueled one.
If your intellect isn’t able to control your emotion, you’re either a child or you’re in big trouble.

Look up the term “Emotional Intelligence”.

There’s an old saying that goes “Intellect wins while emotion cries”. Take that however you choose

For the receivers to get on the same page with Brady...it’s going to require a lot of throwing from him during OTA’s, mini camp, practice, etc..his elbow could possibly be shot by the time the season starts. I don’t think it’s wise to pay him whatever he wants whether it’s with the Pats or another team...building that chemistry is going to be a problem.

2 year 80 million with 40 guaranteed?

So you think that Brady has lost his damn mind.

And I guess you think the OP thinks Brady has lost his damn mind.
