McDaniels goes to Cleveland and OBJ comes here.
He wants to play with Tommy.

Or, Brady goes to Cleveland with McDaniels, and OBJ will get to play with Tommy....

Would not be surprised if the Browns are waiting on Bienemy.

McD imo F'd himself when he screwed the Colts the way he did.

Why do people keep saying this? Did Chip Kelly screw himself when he did the same thing to Tampa? Did Parcells screw himself when he did the same thing to Tampa and Atlanta?

No. If people see you as a coach that can get your team to a Super Bowl, they will hire you. The whole "because Colts!!!" thing was a kneejerk reaction by a couple of anonymous GM's in February 2018 that keeps getting ressurected by anti-Patriots media so they have space in their column filled to generate clicks.

As annoyed with Josh as I was the last couple weeks, if he stays I think it goes a long way keeping Brady here. So I hope to God he stays. And if he doesn't I hope he chooses his next destination wisely. Cleveland is a place coaches go to die. He would be blowing his chance while that idiot owns the team.

I think he's talking about the McDaniels trading us a top 10 pick?

Wrong too I was talking about the scrub in the initial post I responded to you guys are reading too into it.

McDaniels leaving will be bad news for patients chances of contending for several years, in my opinion. If he goes, who is BB going to bring in asa replacement. Almost certainly it will be somewhat not as accomplished as JM.

Probably some scrub who used to get coffee and doughnuts for Steve Belicheck and picked up JM's kids after school.

And Antonio Brown joins the group...

OBJ + Landry + AB = Happy TB :D

Hoisting a 7th Lombardy as Cleveland Brown would pretty much cement TB as the greatest professional sports player in history.

Lebron who?

I applaud this one. That would be pretty wild.

Which also makes little sense whatsoever
My translation of the, uh, “language” of the original post was - McDaniels is leaving, and there is no ready-made OC out there, so BB will hire a complete scrub to be OC. And his response to that initial post is basically, a coach has to start somewhere, and if he sucks in the first year and causes us to lose enough to get a top 10 draft pick, that may not be a bad thing. That’s how I’m reading this, without editorializing on whether that result is a good thing or not......

Dante Scarnecchia gives Josh McDaniels ultimate compliment

So Scar says that he would not have come out of retirement if McDaniels wasn’t the OC. You have to wonder if goes back into retirement if McDaniels should leave?
Scar loves Josh.

Tom loves Josh.

Bill loves Josh.

More often than not, it worked out with him.

Was Josh (or Bill) responsible for going for it stupidly twice down the stretch in Denver?

He's consistent. He did it his way and he can argue it usually worked.

I can count six times off the top of my head instances with the game (and season) on the line when I cringed in horror when they lined Tom up in the shotgun with an empty backfield with plenty of time on the clock, all our timeouts (and the two-minute warning), which were followed by turnovers (by strip sack, pick or on downs) and zero running attempts.

“Three things can happen when you pass the ball, and two of them are bad.”

-Woody Hayes

In his defense, it's consistent and gutsy: "We're gonna pass the ball down the field, and you can't stop us."

...But on Saturday night?? Down by ONE POINT? Needing merely a FIELD GOAL preferably running down the clock leaving the Titans no time left to have a last drive?

It's four down territory. You're gonna gain at least 3 yards if you hand it off to anybody, probably more. Even the GOAT QB does not need to be called upon to drop back, try and avoid the rush and complete something ON EVERY SINGLE PLAY.

Keep the defense honest, and sure, on 3rd or 4th down you can drop back but it'll be 3rd-and-4, or 4th-and-3.

When someone quotes Woody Hayes, it’s like a slap across the head. Game sure has changed.

Ugh....I am praying for McD to get hired in Cleveland.....but it’s not gonna happen....we are stuck with the king of Shotgun draws, triple reverses and the most Predictable offensive play calling ever....for at least another year! Josh F’ed himself by doing Indy the way he did....so badly that Joe Judge a WR and ST coach got hired before Josh....

who would you prefer?

There are a few that deserve a look....Sarkisian, Lombardi, maybe even Gruden or even Gase if he gets fired ....some of these former HC that can’t cut it as HC but were great in role of OC might be worth a look....

When was the last time BB hired an offensive coordinator that wasn't already a coach for the Patriots?

You are right....and sometimes that’s a problem...but you are right....but Josh isn’t going to Cleveland....and will probably be head coach in a few years when BB leaves....he’s just too predictable and has rarely made good adjustments imho
