Tom Brady confirms he isn’t retiring.

LOL that this got a disagree. He confirmed it point blank in the postgame presser. That was pretty much the only question that he didn’t dance around.

How is saying retiring is “unlikely” confirming it?

Because he can't control what teams will do and who will offer what, but it's clear his intent is to continue playing and it was clear postgame.

This seems to be more of a hint that he's coming back to the Patriots, which is different from him saying he wants to keep playing football.
If NE’s brain-trust believes they are a few players (and health) away from a SB, they should definitely do their best to bring Brady back. Even if they think he’s “only got one more year” and it takes a two year deal - do it. SB > everything else.

If they see, in practice, that this season was stitched together and the 12-4 was a mirage, then things change. If staff believes Brady is done, then they are better off cutting ties now, rather than prolong a goodbye and further add to bad feelings/slow the rebuild.

We aren’t in the building. But I (and I suspect most posters here) would be happy to roll the dice again and reload for another go at it.

Pffftt He could have easily said no I’m not retiring. Using the term “unlikely” absolutely leaves open the possibility of retirement. Especially if he doesn’t get the type of $ he feels like he deserves.

I don't know. Between his twitter post and Kraft telling Fiddy Cent that the Patriots are going to win again next season makes me feel like he in fact maybe coming back to the team.

“Pretty unlikely.” He followed that up with “hopefully unlikely,” with a ****-eating grin, indicating that the one thing that would force him to retire would be beyond his control. That’s about as concrete as you get. Anyone that watched that knew this Saturday night. But sure, dig your heels in.

Well he talked to Peter King after the game and flat out said I want to keep playing football. Not sure how that could be confusing.

More people get their news through social media than anything these days, so I wouldnt be surprised if it is news to a lot of people

I can only speak for my own personal life, but nobody in my family, not my wife, our kids or our granddaughter uses social media. Sometimes they even get down on me (only a little) for my use of Patsfans.

If what you say is accurate, this world is in a bad place.

He's said so many times he's playing until he's 45 and he point blank said he hopes to play after the game. I don't know what more you need. It was very clear to me he wants to play. Your only defense is the word 'unlikely'.

How do you figure

I would say some millenials and most generation Y and Zers get their news this way

Picture of him in a Patriots uniform and not in ordinary clothes, which he easily could have done. Question now is, does BB want him back?

Post tweet..... Robert Kraft seen in the fetal position clutching a TB12 Signature Yoga Mat ($139.99) muttering about his cold hearted son of a ***** coach who won’t go for it on 4th down any more.
When time and again your posts are no better than an @Triumph post, you have to ask yourself, “Shouldn’t I get a day job?”

Social media aggregates news sources. If anything, it exposes people to a broader range of views and opinions. I certainly acknowledge the ills social media wroughts on society, but I don't think there's anything inherently shameful or detrimental about observing news from your social media feed.

As long as you know which sources and reports are or are not complete ********.

Hopefully we will see him in the N.E arena and not some other one. They need to make this happen !

Barring an unforseen circumstance, TB will play in 2020. Who he plays for is still a question to be answered. I feel it is 60/40 he stays in NE. Depends on whether 2020 is a rebuilding season.

I'm glad he confirmed what we already knew

Now, TB12, BB, and RKK need to sit down and work a deal before 3/18/2020.

There is some unfinished business on the frozen fields of Gillette Stadium ...

7 is within this organizations reach ... There is m'fn History to be made right here ... be a shame if they blew it up now
