OT- Saints got screwed once again in playoffs by non call

Both players were hand checking. Can you imagine this board if NY overruled the same play against Gronk?

Yup, when my kids started playing competitive sports, my advice was " don't put yourself in a position where one bad call decides the game".....
Yes and my other one coaching soccer for all 3 kids for many years.
You think the ref is against you or sucks then play harder ...
no complaining about the refs in game ... your parents will do it on the ride home.

Of the bad officiating calls against the Saints this season, this one barely even rates a mention. It'd be wayyyyyyy down the list. We averaged about 5 horrendous calls a game this season.

[very patsfans poster voice] IF IT WAS THE PATRIOTS THEY WOULD HAVE DOCKED US A FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICK

I wouldn't have called it either

The league is really out to get you. That’s 80 horrendous calls against you this season.

Would agree that is true of this year. Last year and the year before that though; one of the worst ref calls in NFL history and one of the most unlikely game-ending long pass plays in history.

This year, though, yeah, they just weren't good enough when it counted.

Which oddly, somehow, makes it easier to live with in a way I can't fully explain.

Yeah, I wouldn't have either. It's the one thing NFL refs are consistent about. OPI just doesn't happen unless it's very, very egregious. Which is fair; at least everybody knows it and can depend on that always being the case.

They got really hosed/unlucky in not getting a bye, I will give you that. Lost Brees 5 games, still finished 13-3 and didn’t get blown out all season. Don’t recall a team that good that had to play in wild card round, and the NFC was also stacked for wild card teams.

"It was OPI. Period."

Payton should've worn his Stokoe the Clown shirt to the post-game PC, said the 4 words above, and then left the podium...because it was.

What made this so blatant is that Rudolf pushed the DB at exactly the moment before he made the catch, thereby gaining not separation, but an ill-gotten advantage; think Plaxico Burress v Ellis Hobbs during SB42.

NFL zebras = Joke.

Come on everyone. This is football. I've seen worse contact in basketball not called.
