Brady's record says 12-4 but as I said the first 8 games were won by the defense against weak teams, not Brady and his offensive. So for the record 8-0 & 4-4.

What could of been :D

The Niners are great because of Jimmy G - or is it because of their D, and running game?

Hmmm. Hmmm.

I used to be a big Jimmy G homer, but after watching every game of his this season, I’m not that high on him anymore.

Like Brady, the 49ers were winning lots of games because of their defense suffocating opposing quarterbacks. Jimmy G is at his best when he has a very good ground game. But when he has to drop back repeatedly, he will take a sack if his first read isn’t open. He also has a really weak arm and I believe Minnesota will make him throw down the sidelines to beat them next weekend which Jimmy does not like to do.

He’s also been very lucky this season not getting more interceptions as he does throw some pretty stupid passes.

Minnesota is going to be a bad matchup for the 49ers as they have two bookends on defense that could harass Jimmy and they have linebackers that can cover the middle of the field where he likes to throw.

Im probably the biggest Jimmy G homer on the board, but I generally agree that he hasn’t been great this year. He doesn’t look nearly as good as he did subbing in for Brady in 16. I’m certain Belichick & McDaniels would have him playing at a much higher level, making far fewer mistakes.

I’m sure Jimmy G has no regrets given how he’s been paid in San Fran, but i think he would have had a much better career and made much more money, over the long run, if he signed that damn bridge deal. Who knows, maybe if he stinks up the joint this weekend, San Fran will make a play for Brady and Jimmy can come back to the coach he was destined to play for.

You forgot Super Bowl 11. Even though they didn’t play in the Super Bowl, they were arguably the best N.E. team of the pre-Brady era.

BB tried to move on from Brady a year earlier than most wanted him to but Kraft stepped in and prevented it from happening because Brady was like his son . . . BB had a plan for this all but was forced to trade JG by Kraft because you couldn’t keep Brady and JG on the same roster for much longer. . .

When we play fantasy football that doesn’t mean we make sh!t up.

If JimmyG wins a superbowl this forum will have a meltdown

BB tried to move on from Brady a year earlier than most wanted him to but Kraft stepped in and prevented it from happening because Brady was like his son. I know what Brady means to the franchise and he has left his mark on it forever but he is a human and the body breaks down the older you get. BB had a plan for this all but was forced to trade JG by Kraft because you couldn’t keep Brady and JG on the same roster for much longer. Look at where the 49ers are at now, pretty much the favorite to be in the super bowl and maybe win it and even last year I knew they were going to be good. So Thanks Kraft, now the only contingency plan at QB is with Stidham who may be great or he may suck but at this point he is completely unproven. There was a point when Bledsoe passes the torch to Brady and now we’re getting near the point where Brady is going to have to pass the torch.
When John Lynch calls and asks to trade for Brady and Belichick laughs at him and says he will not trade the best QB in the NFL explain how that means bb wanted to trade Brady and kraft wouldn’t let him.

Since that day brady has arguably the best Sb a qb has ever had and then win the next year.
Jimmy G has zero playoff wins.
Who’s era ends up replacing Brady is likely to be as good as jimmy any way.
What’s might have been is trading away a defending SB Champion and mvp and throwing away at least 2 more SB trips and 1 title. This team would not have sniffed a Sb in 17 or 18 with jimmy g at qb
The GOAT is the GOAT.

There's dense, and then there's this post.

JG would've gone 4-12 with this receiver talent.

And, as noted by other posters, there's that small detail of what Brady did last February, that seems to have eluded you.

That is a completely ignorant statement.
They score 31.3 ppg in the first 8 and won by an average of 23.6
The first 8 games were both the offense and the defense. At least 2 of the losses were in the defense more than the offense

In before tourch reference.

Give Brady Kittle and Sanders and their 14-2 this year.

What evidence do you have that "BB was forced to trade JG by Kraft". This is the most often repeated fake news in Patriots history. There is Zero evidence that this ever happened. I am sure if Kraft ever did try to do something like this BB would resign immediately. Kraft has made his mistakes but he doesn't deserve this unproven BS,

You know Brady won a Super Bowl since Jimmy G was traded right?

Another way to think of it is...........even if Jimmy G is STILL trying to accomplish what Brady has already done since the time of the trade.

Championships are NOT to be taken lightly. Super Bowl 53 cements the decision as the right decision. A bird in hand is worth more than two in the bush. What I mean is I'll take Brady's Super Bowl that he got us over the potential Super Bowls Jimmy G. had the potential to get us.

There's no guarantee Jimmy G ever wins one.

Oops wrong thread. Too many tabs.

Some of you guys just need to have sex with Jimmy to get it out of your system.
