BB tried to move on from Brady a year earlier than most wanted him to but Kraft stepped in and prevented it from happening because Brady was like his son. I know what Brady means to the franchise and he has left his mark on it forever but he is a human and the body breaks down the older you get. BB had a plan for this all but was forced to trade JG by Kraft because you couldn’t keep Brady and JG on the same roster for much longer. Look at where the 49ers are at now, pretty much the favorite to be in the super bowl and maybe win it and even last year I knew they were going to be good. So Thanks Kraft, now the only contingency plan at QB is with Stidham who may be great or he may suck but at this point he is completely unproven. There was a point when Bledsoe passes the torch to Brady and now we’re getting near the point where Brady is going to have to pass the torch.

no offense, but this is a dumb take. we have been to two super bowls and won one. we went 12-4 this year, and while brady wasnt particularly good this year, he didnt have enough to work with. He needs a decent tight end. We had none, it was a joke. Our receivers were awful outside of edelman, and because of that teams were able to take away edelman and the passes to the running backs.

Yeah this is my least favorite Brady thread of the 93 Brady threads.

I was going to post a condescending reply off the title alone but then I saw the content was just an impenetrable wall of text and knew I had to be even meaner.

Another jimmy G thread. Let’s see him a playoff game first.

This franchise is screwed without the one turnover per game 2nd tier franchise QB

Wasn’t because of a lack of trying, Sanu ended up being a failure and Harry didn’t live up to expectations

Your first sentence is a claim from a single national media source that has been refuted by multiple local reporters as part of an article that has been thoroughly denied both on and off the record, so I’m just gonna stop there.

If you are going to hang your hat on a 12-4 record please consider that the Pat's schedule had them playing very weak teams for 8 games and the defense won them not Brady and the offensive. After 8-0 they went 4-4 not so good thanks to Brady. He is great in the pocket but can't be effective anymore out of the pocket, he can't even get out of the pocket. I love the Pats but lets get realistic. Brady must go along with Robert Kraft.

you think the Pats with JG this year would have been any better? Nope....and funny how you dismiss a SB championship they won last year...so spoiled you are.

I think both had issues with Brady. New generation.

We will never truly know. I think it is true. I'll stop there.

You’re clueless. I would like to see Jimmy G work with this unit and then you can tell me how great these wideouts are lol.

The 49ers are a better team than the Patriots, but the QB position is not the reason why. If we had Garoppolo and they had Brady, they'd be right where they are right now (first round bye) and we'd be right where we are right now (eliminated).

It also could have been that BB moves “on to Cincy” w JG and NE doesn’t make the SB, let alone win it AND never win the next two either....

“What could have been” is a slippery slope. I certainly didn’t see the three SBs coming after that 2-2 start in 2014. Thank goodness BB is in charge - not us.

We are all spoiled but it is "always about what are you going to do for me, now" in sports. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow never comes.

And Brady has lead us to two super bowls since. Can't win them all. Nut up its going to be an interesting off season.

Just an observation but since Garoppolite nation arose sometime in 2016 Ian's forum profanity filter has tripled in size. Coincidence?

By the way this thread sucks ****.

See?
