Tom Brady Odds: Which Team Will He Play for in 2020?

Bookmakers have him likely to return to the Patriots (-200, or about 67% chance.). No way he retires. If he goes somewhere else, total crapshoot...doesn’t seem like there are any handshakes going on with another team.

This suggests Brady may be posturing...wasn’t happy about contract negotiations and sure as hll wasn’t happy about the supporting cast on offense. He’s going to make the Patriots commit to him for at least two years and sign some higher end skill players. Keep in mind Edelman is probably done/soon done, too. The Pats have their work cut out for them if they want him back.

Both the Patriots bet and the Chargers bet is undercosted and I may throw money on both.

Seems hard for me to believe he would go play for one his main rivals so that takes our Dolphins and Colts. Both those fan bases have hated him for years and I'm not sure how much they'd welcome a 43 year old rival. (I would have hated for the Pats to get Manning for a couple years)

Chargers makes some sense from his point of view but do the Chargers want to hitch their wagons to a 43 year old? Are they in win now mode and is he enough of an upgrade from Rivers at this point in his career? They would also need to start looking for their next QB even if they signed Brady. And for Brady, if the Chargers want him then they'd want him around to help "build the brand". Is he up for voluntary workouts again and all the glad handing of executives as they get ready to move into new stadium? Does he really want to spend all that extra time learning a new system and players vs being with his family? It just seems completely everything he has said and done the past few years. Maybe he truly is soured and wants a fresh start but it just seems unlikely he'd find that perfect contract and team to meet his previously stated expectations.
Favre went to the Vikings because he was ticked at Green Bay. Brady has more than a little reason to be ticked at Kraft for taking a HOF receiver away from him when said receiver likely would've led to a SB win; he has reason to be ticked at BB for monumentally screwing the draft and free agency this year.

But, if he goes, it probably won't be out of spite, but rather simple pragmatism of wanting to play on the most complete, talented team possible for his last couple of years so he has the best possible shot at #7. Manning won one of his two SBs with a team other than the one that drafted him; why can't Brady?

I'd prefer Brady come back to the Pats, if they can manage to have the best draft they have had in a while and get a bunch of playmakers rather than a bunch of busts/projects. If they screw the draft again, I hope he bolts.

And asking...and asking...and asking. In thread after thread after thread after thread.
Phrased different ways of course ... each better and better to arrive at the same posts as before.

Brady stays a free agent until the pats figure out what they are doing at the other positions, especially WR, TE, and OL. If he's satisfied, he'll come back and play for NE
Brady has plenty of trust in bb getting the right players in here. It’s just a matter of working out a contract both sides are cool with.

I really dont think brady is that shortsighted that he looks at this yr -after winning the SB- and says the patriots screwed him . He likely has gotten a lot out of being here with this coach and owner. He became the GOAT here. There is no gurantee if things wouldve come together elsewhere. No organization has had this kind of continuity.
So while we as fans just look at the team this yr and see a mess, i think if brady were logical, he would see this as one those seasons where the law of averages catches up. As mikereiss wrote today Sharing final thoughts from Patriots’ 2019 season, and more
" Looking back, one thing I think hurt the Patriots was the timing of Rob Gronkowski’s retirement announcement in late March. It put handcuffs on parts of the team’s free-agent plans. Could Belichick have pressed him for a quicker decision in March? Possibly, but a case could also be made that Gronkowski deserved the space if he was truly contemplating his future. Either way, between that and a slow start to free agency in which they were late getting into the mix on top target Adam Humphries really put them in an early hole that they seemed to be chasing the entire year."

this happens sometimes. Look at the ravens. They won the SB.Gave flacco that huge contract. Went down. And went back up now. Its the NFL and i hope Brady sees that perspective and not just something cost him the SB. He knows that the coach is committed to winning which is the same thing brady wants. Just like brady sometimes cna make bad plays, the coach/gm does too. But both of them rectify their mistakes and keep going.

Remember when dilfer and company killed BB after the chiefs game in 2014 for not getting weapons around brady ? Things turned around once gronk became gronk again.
This team didnt have a signature win on offense all season which could snowball their season to winning a few games in a row. Sometimes it happens. Its a testament to the coach and QB that it hasnt happened a lot here.

Titans.

Tannehill had a one year deal for 2019 and they have moved on from Marriotta. They have a really good running game with Henry and a good OL.

Chargers

The franchise is struggling to relocate and sell tickets
Storied franchise. You cant tell the tale of NFL history without the Chargers
Iconic powder blue uniforms
Would you like to be the first NFL QB to deliver an NFL world championship to the Chargers? In LA? You would never buy another meal or drink in that town again.
Bradys parents live there in Cal.
Bradys mom has been sick.
Grandkids spending more time with Grandparents.
Perhaps Bradys siblings live there as well.
The weather.
Less travel
Brady has mentioned jumping into the government management fray. Cal is on the brink of collapse and will need new leadership to fix that mess.
Golf 365 days a year.
The roster is loaded
They draft @ # 6

edit - Avocados good prices too

Would you cheer for him to win a SB? I hope he would do well but not at the Pats expense.

Another day, another Tom Brady playing on another team thread. Its going to be a long off season.

If he leaves, then he is dead to me. Just like Vinatieri.

Play in New England or retire. Or join the team as a frikkin' coach. Brady could certainly a QB coach, maybe even work up to OC. Lots of reasons to stick around.

Don’t worry, I’m sure there will be some Antonio Brown threads mixed in there to shake things up.:p

Wow, what a bunch of thankless a55holes we have on this board.

The GOAT who has taken multiple hometown discounts over the years, and have saved D1ckhead Kraft probably close to $100M in forgone salary, will not root for the guy.

I'll be rooting for him if he played for the Jets. What he gave us the fans and what he got paid in return, is not even in the same dimension.

Brady wins another Super Bowl in LA

He is driven for # 7. He has limited time to cap off his legacy with 2 more years of passing, but he needs smart, hungry players who can get open and catch. He needs a RB who can pick up 2 yards on 3rd down.

No Ray Lewis option?

Patriots fan so nope later buddy wish you well appreciate the 6.
