Who do the Pats select with the 23rd overall pick?

If only we had a special part of this forum to discuss the NFL/Patriots draft ...
read up literally 1 post

If only snarky posters would read the thread before posting ...

TE is the biggest need, we know how effective having a good one is !

I also think BB trades down to get a second and maybe a third or fourth round choice. Would love to see him get Raekwon Davis as a run defender and maybe Duvernay, the speedster from Texas.

What am I thinking?? In reality.....If BB is still here.....He’s trading down!!!!
Why would he do when patsfans posters like to use the "we're picking at the end of the 1st so we're at a disadvantage" when in reality it's not nearly as big of a deal as they make it seem. Its only been a 24/7/365 hobby for me what do I know?

I’m just pissed we don’t have pick #55. Hmmm what did we waste that on?

DL, S, LB, OL, in that order. TE and WR are priorities but better addressed via FA, in my opinion. If there’s a can’t-miss TE available then snag him.

OL could vault up ahead of S if Andrews’ career is over.
The only problem with relying on FA for WRs And TEs is only the dregs are available at the price BB is willing to spend. Might have better luck trading a draft pick for a young
player with a little time left on his rookie contract.

All of you guys that think the Patriots are “cheap”, why is it then we were right at the salary cap this year?

They are willing to spend money, but need to field a Team too.

Trade down our 1st round pick
Sanu and one compensatory pick for a 2nd round would be a dream come true, but unrealistic
We really need to have a good draft more than ever

Well, they selected NKeal Harry in 1st round. I really wanted DK Metcalf (4.33 spd).

Here is his stats as a rookie with Seattle:

Yeah, those 3 fumbles are not very good...But he did play 16 games.

WR, TE or Center

probably need to replace brady so someone that can come in and take over for whichever jag comes in on the cheap

We need a running back because Sony michele can't break a tackle to save his ****ing life, the dude legit runs scared and is absolute trash unless the whole is big enough for a mack truck to drive through, and while we're on the subject Damien harris much also be legit garbage, if he could get any snaps over michele.

O line needs some depth, it fell apart early and often

Probably need a new slow receiver as jules is likely to retire over not playing with brady, especially at his current contract

Punter might be a need, Jake bailey had a TON of shanks this season, and some of them were real bad. other special teams play covered up for it with some goal line heroics

Defense side of things we need a run stopper and we need them BAD, teams run all over us, every ****ing game.

Chung is probably going to need a replacement, dudes good but he gets hurt in big moments.

place kicker more then likely depending on how ghost comes back.

Basically what im saying is were taking the 4th string safety from rutgers. I hear he has a good motor.

Our draft position is set... #23

whats the biggest need?

qb? dt? ol/ot? wr? te?
Depends who is on the board and what we have done in free agency.

Give Brady a 2 year extension. Thanks falls to 23. Draft him give him 2020 to recover, then in 2021 good chance Brady has down time with injuries, Tua gets some pt and takes over in 22.

1st round. The best available DL run stuffer or OLine. Best of the two.

You could make an argument that the Pats need help everywhere. The safeties are old and some of them might be done (Chung, McCourty). The LB crew is also getting old or moving on (Collins, Van Noy, Hightower). The O-line needs people, they need to draft 1-2 TEs, except for Jules, and Harry, all the receivers need to go and be replaced.
