I highly doubt he retires. Looked to me that there’s a strong possibility he’s leaving.
I'm okay if he leaves ... we need a rebuild year or 2.
It was the greatest of rides ...

Comments:

- If it had to end, I am happy it ended quickly this year. We draft a bit earlier and get some much needed rest for our players.

- I am onto the Celtics now!

- I don't think Brady's last attempted pass as a Patriot should be a pick six, but that is just me.

I think he means if they want him back at the right price, he’s back, but if not he retires.
My take too.

Odd how revealing it was

How horrific was this offense tonight? Time after time and nothing . These guys are just awful getting separation.
I would love to see a breakdown of the film from the point of the wrs.

From the sounds of what he was saying, Brady will be playing next year but it's gonna be elsewhere.

Sounded like a man who knows he isn't back next season.

Seemed to me like it was more of a "The ball's in the Patriots' court" sort of answer.

Brady is not retiring. He has his whole tb12 method and he needs to play till 45 to show the world it works.

I think he's 100% gone from the Patriots though.

Better get that QB some better weapons that’s for sure if they move on from brady.

You’re acting as if I think Brady isn’t able anymore. He is. He’ll also be 43 with receivers who he was increasingly frustrated with which was noticeable in game. It’s time to move on with both parties. Brady should go to the Chargers with all of those weapons and I hope he succeeds. The Patriots need to start the rebuild ASAP.

Yeah its pretty obvious he will be back with the team unless they cant agree on a price which in reality is just a proxy for projected performance.

Will give us a good idea what the coaching staff really thinks about his play this year.

Exciting couple weeks ahead. Hopefully they can find that agreement relatively early so there is enough time to plan around that contract.

I think the problem with this year’s team is that after the Baltimore game there was evidence that we’re a flawed team and the rest of the league, along with our players, started to believe it.

Love the man, but damn, it felt like a brutal year for Edelman. Crucial drop, after drop, after drop. Led the league in drops, in fact. Makes me sad.

if there was any year for him to have a key playoff drop its this one, this wasn’t a sb caliber team. He always caught it when it really counted... who knows if we have any of the last 3 sb’s without him

Looking back the hot start was fools gold. The D where they blocked punts and had three or four turnovers a game was not sustainable in any way shape or form.

When the turnovers dried up this team this team looked average at best.

This is a Super Bowl team if Brown and Thomas are on the squad.

I think the team was a little bit too ****y.

He sounded like he was just done with this team. just done. I hope that I am wrong, but we will have to stay tuned to find out.

That should be a goodie especially if Houston gets Fuller back next week! That game should come down to which defense can create turnovers!
Disagree, I think KC will crush them

The Patriots had a complete cupcake schedule for 8 games. Their biggest test was playing KC, Baltimore, the Texans and Philly.

They finishee 1 and 3. Truth be told I'm having a hard time even counting that Philly game. Philadelphia isn't a great team and they were missing weapons on offense.

He's a UFA. If he wants to keep playing and doesn't have faith in the org there are plenty of other teams that would be happy to have him
It would be a huge risk to try a non patriots offense. It seems like our offense is like precision engineered machine. When everything is working properly it is unstoppable but when some parts are defective everything comes to a grinding halt. There is no “good enough” level with it. I don't know if Tom can go from that to random receivers and some random system.

Last team that just passed passed passed was a 4 win team the pats could not stop.

This team couldn't score in the second half ended up with 13 points. At home. Patriots would have been lucky to get 10 points in Kansas City. It would have been like a 35-10 loss.

Did you not see what Gilmore and JC Jackson did tonight? Corey Davis and brown where handled well. The running game is what helped the titans.

I think we’d be surprised. Everyone on the offense was a problem this season, not just the WRs.

That BB decision was almost as epically stupid as his decision not to try to score more points at the end of the first half against Miami. Inexplicable and inexcusable overly conservative play when the desperately needed a spark.
Yeah if they failed they still had 3 timeouts to get a potential stop and even if they scored a field goal the offense wouldve had more than 20 seconds to do something.
