Sony looks way better.

Anyone have a scouting report on the two injured OL we drafted?

Michel looks better than he did earlier in the season. He did not warrant a first round pick. They are going to need him to put up some monster games, starting tomorrow, if the Pats want to make a run at #7. If Michel can mirror last year we're in business...

Hope we get a big back next season wouldn't hurt have a big back amongst the little ones.

He's still a bust. Not much vision, doesn't create anything. But i'll concede the line has been horrific at times.

Froholdt is a converted defensive lineman who is still learning the position. He played G/C in college. Typical NEP offensive linemen. Involved in a complex system which at one point he was making ID's & calls on the line. Really good getting & working in space. Easily one of his best strengths. Looks lile an athlete running around. Footwork is always on point. Very rarely off balance, out of place. Pretty good hands, could improve his timing & placement some. Definitely has to get stronger. Short arms kill him so he could be in a phone booth a lot so added strength is a must. Would like to see him get more aggressive overall tbh.

Cajuste is the opposite in a few ways. Offers Very good length with 34 inch arms. Pretty inconsistent in both run/pass pro. He wants to be patient in his sets which leads to him being caught on the edge. He tries to use his upper body too much and doesn't have the flexibility to out leverage his man consistently. Very strong with proper form. If he is set and gets to use his length he has an easy time riding guys around the arc and out of the play. Has dealt with injuries. If not tackle maybe guard?

I think the offense is fixed, including Sony, for the most part. It's the defense I've somehow become worried about.

This statement...is just... frustrating to say the least. 42 y/o QB... plenty of clear holes. Bill drafts almost an entire red shirt class.

Oh, and I agree - Sony’s looking up. Really hope he works his ass off on pass-catching in the offseason.

Nobody can stop Sony.

I really think the line is the problem. Sony looked like he had the goods last year, especially in the playoffs. When he busts like a cannonball he seems to fall ahead for 6-8 yards.

The O line is mediocre. They have no threats outside the slot

Lets not forget his contribtions last post season. 4.7 YPC over 100 yards a game and 6 TDs. Dude was a machine. He has the ability.

Sony Michel is 3 TDs away from being in the top 10 all time in playoff rushing TDs.

They will induct Sony into the HoF at halftime tomorrow

Not the best example of a “bust” in my opinion. The guy has had close to 1,000 yard seasons in both of his years played, and scored 5 touchdowns in the postseason during the SB winning 2018 campaign.

He had a very good rookie season and followed it up with a lower YPC (3.7 this year) due at least partially to a knee procedure that occurred during TC. I think we have to wait another year to try and determine how much of a bust he really is.

I think the terrible draft class of 2017 is a bigger issue than the 2019 selections, and I think the lack of any young talent caught up to them a bit this year.

Guys like Harry, Harris, Williams, Froholdt, and Cajuste should be able to contribute much more in 2020. It was an unfortunate draft due to injuries, but there’s no excuse for 2017.

Considering they only had 4 picks and the 2017 #1 was Cooks which became 2018 Wynn it had a low chance of being a bumper crop of young talent. Draft is about at bats and they had very few

The fact they got Wise to be a rotational DE was a miracle in itself.

You think Vrabes would swap Henry for Sony pregame? :D

I had spent the last two months getting increasingly bitter that we went for Sony over Chubb who is probably my 2nd favorite back in the NFL after Henry.

But I gotta say - Sony has been running much better. He's not a guy who is going to create on his own so he needs an OL and a leadblocker but he's been doing much better work and has been a lot harder to take down.

I'm still undecided if he was a good 1st round pick or not and I'm leaning towards not but I still gotta say he has proven to be a lot harder to take down the last 3 or so games.

He has had a down year but as far as his late 1st round worthiness I have no doubt he was worth it. He had a great rookie season - 16 games (including playoffs) for 1267 yards and 12 touchdowns, played stronger in bigger games, and was a focus of offense in playoffs. Whenever a late first round pick can have this type of impact in a superbowl season, in my book the return on the draft pick is already positive. Anything else he can do after that rookie season is just gravy

32 games
2179 yds
19TDs
4.1ypc
16.5 carries a game

I'm good w this.

The only pick who panned out worth a damn was Detrich Wise, and he’s probably in his last year because he’s not very good at all. Enough said for me. No excuse for that kind of draft.

Thats fine but hitting on 25% of the picks is league average.

Hitting on 25% of the picks that are outside the top 2 rounds is also good.

Considering they also landed Adam Butler as a RFA, its even better.

Need realistic expectations and compare to historical probability my friend...
