I had spent the last two months getting increasingly bitter that we went for Sony over Chubb who is probably my 2nd favorite back in the NFL after Henry.

But I gotta say - Sony has been running much better. He's not a guy who is going to create on his own so he needs an OL and a leadblocker but he's been doing much better work and has been a lot harder to take down.

I'm still undecided if he was a good 1st round pick or not and I'm leaning towards not but I still gotta say he has proven to be a lot harder to take down the last 3 or so games.

amazing how much better he looks after elandon roberts got his wheels under him as a full back

as for sony ... hes ok ... can handle the load for the most part ... but after his 4 year rookie deal (if he has an option, and the team exercises a 5th year option) expires, and the team moves on, i wouldn't be bitter about it

Was Chubb still on the board when they selected Sony?

Yes... Chubb was taken in Round 2, 35th pick overall .... Sony was Round 1, 31st pick overall

I would still try to establish Sony, but I would abandon very quickly in favor of Rex and White with hopes to bring back Sony back with lead in 4th.

If I'm going down it's with White and Rex and Brady running no huddle.

I think the pats will start the game with rex or white in the backfield.

Ivan said in so many words a couple months ago that Sony shouldn’t always wait for the o-line to make a hole. He’s looked better since he started attacking more like Burkhead.

That's great and all but if Josh (and Tom) decide to abandon the running game like they have so many times this year, it's a moot point.

I have defended Sony before but I don’t believe his ceiling makes him a first round pick. He’s a good back who runs hard, but he’s not a franchise back.

Tennessee a tough team to run against, if they come out running and have some success it's going to be a good game.

I don’t have the slightest idea of whatPatriots team will show up tomorrow night, or any other playoff game if they continue on. If their defense returns to the form they showed in the first half of the season then they can win any game, as turnover battle is everything in the playoffs. I’ll hope that comes true and enjoy every play as this actually could be the end of this dynasty.

He’s strong, tough, controls the ball, and follows a FB well. Give him the FB for the love of god.

I like Sony next season as long as they resign Thuney, get Andrews and Develin back from ir. If they could find a gem in this draft at te that can block and catch Atleast decent, that would be a bonus to getting him back to late 2018 form.

Defintely has looked better since Wynn returned and Karas is becoming more seasoned.

That has been the most frustrating thing to see. Like clockwork, josh has a series where he tries to come out throwing. For no apparent reason .The houston game e.g. He said texans had an extra man in the box crowding the line. So run it again and setup the PA. That is our strength . He goes away from it way too often.

Of course he isn’t. No RB is worth taking in the 1st round who can’t be used in the passing game.

"He's not a guy who is going to create on his own so he needs an OL and a leadblocker" I was looking for you to say something like this so I could take this post seriously. I agree with everything you said though. He has been looking better as of late.

Hopefully he continues looking better in the postseason. We're gonna need him.

Ball security is virtually as good as it gets too. 3 fumbles in 2 years, 0 in the playoffs for all the production he had then.

Ball security pretty hard runner however we can upgrade and it wouldn't be terribly difficult.
