Say Goodbye To Van Noy

Sanu is under contract next year.
He’s going to get the Reche Caldwell treatment and get cut when they revamp the entire WR corps.

Hate to break it to you but he isn't going anywhere. They'll restructure his $6m deal , give him some guarantees and make it a 2yr deal. If he sucks in 2020 he'll be gone in 2021

Every unit needs a leader and it was hightower but seems like Kyle now.
I say that because Belichick does pay leaders of units.

Instead of being focused on the next game, Boogyman Van Noy is bellyaching about his money.

Mahomes and Lamar Jackson aint scared of this defense.

Goddamn I'm so tired of this type of take because it is so completely removed from reality that it boggles the mind.

Do you actually think someone can't focus on their job while also saying they're looking forward to a raise? ************, why do people lose all grip of how the world actually works when it comes to the NFL?

Flowers had a nearly identical year this year to last year stats-wise so so far, so good.

BJGE had a career high in rushing yards his first year in Cincy. He was pretty much the same player here as he was there.

Akiem Hicks while only here for a little while was another guy we got off the scrap heap and played really well for us. Bill offered him a last minute deal but he ended up on the Bears and became an All-Pro.

Ted Larsen, Kamu GH, Darryl Roberts, Jon Halapio, and Jeremy Mincey were all under contract at some point as a Patriot and we let walk for whatever reasons. Did they leave and light the world on fire? No but it goes against the notion that no one who leaves here ever does anything else in the league.

Tavon Wilson too.

BB missed on Hicks, I am not a GM BB basher - he knew to trade for Hicks and Van Noy which were good moves. Hicks and Jones would have been great on the D-line, but as noted we would have given up a lot to keep them.

I would rather keep Thuney first, then Collins, then Van Noy and finally Hightower - I assume Hightower takes a significant pay cut - his knee is toast.. Most of the rest of the guys come back at low dollars or restructured - Sanu, Dorsett, McCourtys, Harmon, Slater, etc. I assume Ben Watson is done.

Just imagine how many heads will explode when Belichick retires and our team talks to the media daily.

A lot of us will be dead before Steve retires. Seriously - I think we're setup for a Belichick coaching dynasty.

Nepotism here will end up as badly as we see it go everywhere else.

Based on what?

Bill transitioning to a front office role while Steve takes on the HC role sounds like a better proposition to me than bringing in an entirely new coach and culture.

I love all and I mean all of our secondary but outside of them I wouldn't mind blowing up the rest. Our front seven is good but nothing we couldn't replace. My fav from the 7 is John Simon. Simon quietly gets it done. I can't remember a time he has pissed me off in two seasons now. I view Van Noy as a poor man's Collins and Collins sometimes annoys me. So more power to him for cashing in but hopefully not by us. We could use that money on oline and never experience a Newhouse etc. situation again.

That sounds like a complete and total disaster to me. Based on the kid being out of his depths.

How do you know he'll be out of his depth by the time Bill is ready to stop being a HC?

Not every instance of a son taking over for his father is nepotism. Based on the play of our defense this year and the development of the secondary when he was DB coach the kid might just deserve the eventual promotion.

Vannoy isn’t the leader he is just the guy who likes to talk to the media.

His contract isn't that bad. I doubt he's going anywhere.

Really? Is this what we've come to? Better stats in a preseason game?
Well, it's as useful as laughing disdainfully and saying he's garbage. I mean, he was working with the same 'crappy weapons' Tom got saddled with. He did nothing to indicate that he's out of place in the NFL, and reports seem to indicate that the coaching staff loves him. But what do they know, right?

It was nice knowing you KVN . We know BB rarely ever breaks the bank for any players and will never allow any player to dictate terms to him, so I guess he is as good as gone .
