Harry would be one of them if he was playing somewhere else

Harry would have had over 500 yards if we didn't start out the season having a glut of WR talent that made putting him on IR a luxury.

It's almost like not being able to practice with the team for like 10 weeks might play into his performance in the remaining 6 or something, but what do I know, what's most important is saying whatever it takes to feel like you are right and Belichick is wrong.

Dear God. . . . I'm agreeing with @fnordcircle.

Any reasonable reading of the Bible without the bindings of tradition indicates that Satan is the better guy, at least better than Jehovah who punishes most of us for eternity in hell.

Hope that helps!

There were other ways to utilize him, as they found out in the last couple of weeks. Harry was a playmaker in college who had two 1000 yards with 75+ catches. Yes the Pats system is complicated and yes he was out 8 weeks but surely the best offensive coordinator in the league could have drawn some plays up and let a playmaker make plays.

Saying he was 'out 8 weeks' is misleading. He's a rookie who missed 8 weeks of practice after 3 weeks of preseason play. In a system as complex as ours that was 8 crucial weeks of development. and even then if you've been paying attention any new addition to the Patriots offense not named Welker or Moss is going to have a ceiling of 40 catches in their first season.

Harry missed development time that was crucial to his rookie season by missing half of this season's practice time.

So do the Harry excuse markers want to say he's good for 70 catches and 900 yards next season? Not unreasonable for a first round pick in his second year...

And mind you if Harry misses similar time again next season he's a certified bust

What's most troubling for me is we have to do gadget plays to get him the ball. He can run only one simple route and his catch % is only like 40% of targets thrown, otherwise we have to waste rushing carries to literally hand him the ball....

No the Harry excuse makers want to defer their evaluation to next season after he has had an entire offseason, TC and health over a 16 game season

So in the violent game of football, a player is a bust for getting injured in his second year? This is due to management's behavior with the rookie wide receiver in his first year.

So you just make up stats and other things?

He can only run simple routes? That's baloney. 40% catch rate...wrong.

He was on the field 186 total snaps this year and targeted 24 times. That's it - and a couple of those were throwaways, and a couple yesterday alone were simply terrible passes. Brady's completion % this year was under 61%.

Brady wanted nothing to do with rookies - he made it clear from the beginning.

I don't understand the need for posters to hate on Harry so much.

He has been disappointing and there were a lot of other rookie WRs who had really good seasons. McLaurin, Fant and Johnson all played with 3 different starting QBs this season. It doesn’t matter how many excuses you make he didn’t perform up to his draft level.

I would be likely to agree with you if he improved over the course of the games he played but that didn’t really happen.

AJ Brown is no surprise. He was the best route running Wr in the draft. Couldn't believe the pats past on him the draft Harry.

I like Harry, but his skull set is better for a young QB who doesn't mind forcing the ball into tight coverage. Harry made no sense for the offense. Brown on the other hand was always open.

McLaurin was his team's number 1 target and played a full season. Fant had 40 receptions and exceeded 40 yards in all of four games, and a large number of drops and penalties.

Even the worst team in the league will have over three hundred completions and someone needs to catch those. Anyone the Patriots brought in was going to be the third option behind Edelman and White. Other than in the Moss/Welker years, when has the Patriots second receiver (Amendola, LaFell, Hogan, etc) put up huge numbers? Harry showed enough that I don't think anyone can call him "disappointing" with a straight face.

He can't catch what ain't thrown his way.
