As difficult it is for me imagine the words "Fitpatrick" and "carved them up" in a sentence where the "them" refers to the Patriots...but yeah...he...umm...well...gee..."carved them up."

Fitzpatrick used to give the Pats trouble when he was in Buffalo. He's the ultimate streak QB: he is very good when he's on, and terrible when he's not. The trouble with him is you never know which Fitzpatrick is going to show up.

Yep we had the lead with under 4 minutes left the "best defense in the NFL" needed to step up there

How many times has the defense bailed this team out? The offense is the number one issue.

And even if he didn't, Tennessee is a good team.
Agreed. I've been talking them, SF & Cleveland up for a few years. Tenn has had EVERYTHING except good QB play.

Tannehill is playing at a higher level than Brady right now. Not necessarily the right angle to take here.
Historically speaking.

Up to this point Tannys career has been inconsequential

I’m not logging on till February the *****ing in here is unreal

The strength of this team is the defense the offense did enough to win the game they gave the team the lead playing at home.

Why not? The team was just playing it close to the chest. Not wanting to give too much away before the playoffs. They just need to flip the switch. And they will. You’ll see.

This might be true. But getting too cute and confident today screwed that strategy up.

Nicely done. Seemingly not many caught the sarcasm. Respect where its due.

The Titans scare me as much as anyone else we could play. They have all the elements we struggle against: a power running game, a mobile QB, and a physical athletic receiver.

And a coach that knows the Patriot's system as well as anyone.

I know it’s early but it looks like we will play the Titans

You think this team is winning in KC and Baltimore? Playing like this?

They'll turn it on and figure it out as they always do. I saw a lot of good things from the offense today. Especially how Sanu and Michele played.

D great today it's just unfortunate they gave up a touchdown at the worst possible moment but I still have confidence of them stopping any offense that's put in front of them.

Brady's pick 6 was terrible but that happened very early on. We tied it 10-10 in the first half. We had the ball to take the lead and instead got satisfied with 10-10.

17-10 Miami, the offense responds, 20-17, the offense responds again and takes the lead with 3 minutes to go. A loss.

In the second half the offense had 4 drives, 2 TD's, 2 punts one of which was destroyed by penalties. We had the running game going but we never had the lead with the ball in hand so we can take advantage of that. The first and only lead was 24-20.

When it became obvious that we can't stop them, Belichick should have either be more aggressive try to force a turnover, or take time outs. If Miami didn't score it was game over anyway. Time wasn't a factor for them. If they did, at least give your team a chance. The defense couldn't stop absolutely anything on that last drive. They let the worst possible scenario happen. Let Miami score with 29 seconds left. The end of both halves was terrible. We didn't use a single TO the entire game until it was too late. :rolleyes:o_O

Another terrible coaching job against Miami for the third time in 4 seasons. We gave up the 1st place in 2015, then paid the price in Denver, the Miami Miracle where we would have lost the bye just like this year if it wasn't for Foles going ham against the Texans, and now this. People might have forgotten because we won it all but we were out of the bye place with 2 games to play.

What a terrible way to blow out the season. Instead of a home game in the divisional against a tired opponent, now a wild card then Kansas away, then Baltimore away...just heartbreaking development.

Tannehill is playing well but let's remember it's still Tannehill. We aren't talking about Tom Brady here...
Absolutely but you can't argue how well he's playing. Since taking over he's been a top tier QB. I'm literally just talking this small stretch.
He's got a ton of weapons including Davis who worked Gilmore last time. A capable TE that we've struggled with at times & a legit OL.

A lot different than RT on Mia & Tenn w Marcus. If it's them I expect a close game.

Sorry. Not sold on Tanny kicking ass in the playoffs

I give them a 50/50 chance next week vs Tennessee. Bill seems to struggle against former staff, the offense is barely average. And the defense had their soul ripped out by a qb that seems to have played for every other franchise in the nfl.

Surprised they did not call a timeout after they stopped the Dolphins but once they did not I was not surprised at all they ran it on 1st down after only getting the ball on their own 25. If that play gains 4+ yards I assume they call TO and go into hurry up - if not, they run out the half. After what just happened to them last week against the Bills they obviously did not want to risk giving it back up. More conservative than what I would have preferred.

Nice try our skill position players minus Edelman and White all stink.
Whatever. There are promising rookies out there. JE just had a 1000yd season and White is under 30. That is not a rebuild.
