Tom Brady: an honest take

Yeah, when you hit your 40s, things like workouts, exercising, injuries, you name it.. they all become a lot harder to deal with. Guess what? Turning 43 isn't going to help him.

You people kill me. The guy is injured and you're crucifying him. He's been hurt for weeks. He was still shaking that elbow this week in practice. He still put our team in the lead with less than 4 minutes left in the game but our D crapped itself.

Thanks for your honesty bruv

Man, I just don’t know how we can keep doing this.

I don’t see this somehow getting any better next year, injuries or not injuries. Starting to feel like it’s time...

yep. Don't we have one of the oldest teams in the league?

Critical players could walk in FA, Gilmore will hit 30 years old next year who knows with corners at that age, Hightower 30, DMac/Jmac 33, Chung 33, Cannon 32, Edelman 34, Brady 43 the list goes on

Zolak says it's lower body injury for Tom. Wore white shoes today

Yeah I mean, the man is knocking on 43 and has taken so many hits and has stayed on the field for so long. Eventually, it catches up. He will always be the GOAT. He just can't do it forever.

Please, if you're going to the game this weekend, for God's sakes give that man an ovation that will be talked about forever. He earned it and we owe it to him. He'll be a free agent and we don't know if he's coming back or not and this weekend may very well be his last game at Gillette.

Bobby Orr was before my time but he was one of the Boston Greats and got a 7 minute ovation at the Garden. Please at least give Tommy that! He's one of our Greats and that goes without saying!

Belichick is going to move on from Brady.

Spoiled

His. Throwing. Arm. Is. Injured.

what part of this do people not understand?

Likely putting even more wear and tear on it by playing through the pain at this age.

Hope he goes and finds an owner who will appreciate him and do right by him. Man has lost millions of dollars by taking less than what he deserves for the sake of the team and gets left with crap.

yep, not sure why people can say he is injured, we should re-sign him.

That's the exact reason why we shouldn't. The older you get the more likely you are to get injured. Especially at football violent sport when mid 20s young goons hit you regularly

Give Brady a real OL, a real TE, and a WR not Edelman and then we can talk. This team has the ****tiest offensive talent I've seen since the Reche Caldwell-led Patriots corps of 2006. But at least we had a legit OL in those days with Light and Mankins anchoring the line. Oh and back then Watson was actually a real tight end, not the guy who looks like a senior citizen who wandered onto the field by accident.

With the completion of today's game, Tom's QBR this season will rest right around 88. In each of the last four seasons, starting with the suspension shortened season of 2016, Tom's QBR has declined. Tom's career average QBR is 97. He barely hit that last season and fell well below this season. Tom Brady will be 43 years old at the start of next season. If I'm BB, he doesn't get re-signed. I try to talk him into retiring as a Pat. He is playing well below Tom Brady averages now. He is no longer worth the investment. You can blame the offense all you want, but the steady 4-year decline is undebatable. It's not just QBR.. it's pretty much every stat that matters. They're all at 4 year lows this year. It's time to move on.

He wanted to move from him 3 season ago. Brady hasn’t been good.
Yes 3 years ago BB wanted to move on from Tom if he was not going to play well

I'm sure BB wishes he did too. He only lit Philly for 505 and won last year's Super Bowl.
