Unanimous selections:

TB Goat
Montana
Graham
Unitas

Lots of great stuff from that round table.

I’m almost positive that Belichick said “but not more than this guy” referring to Brady when talking about how difficult it was stop/game plan Manning. I picked up on Brady’s collegiate references, too. He basically won every big game he played in at Michigan.
Those 2 games he mentioned, plus the ones against MSU & PSU really put him on the map. He had a great one against OSU too I think.
Been fighting for a spot forever so competition just lives inside him.

Actually choose UM > Cal which put him in the middle of a decent QB stable. Definitely shaped him big time.

Yes, along with two regular season MVP awards (to Brees’s zero). Last year’s conference championship games both went to OT and both Brady and Brees got the ball first. Could not be a better microcosm of their career than than those drives. Voters weren’t fooled by a massive amount of easy dump offs and artificially high volume numbers.
Brady has 3 regular season MVP’s, including the only unanimous one ever in 2010 (also won in 2007/2017).

Right...I was referring to “the back nine” of his career in 2010 but probably should include everything after 2004.

Seriously, Belichick is sitting there smiling and looking at Brady like a proud Father....I don’t know that I’ve ever seen them interact like that. This is some really great stuff.

Watching this was fun and I wish I could of watched Unitas play. I get the feeling though that going back to watch it now wouldn't be as impressive as growing up and watching it. I still dislike Montana. He's sounds fake.

I never saw Unitas either, BUT looking at the films from the 1950s and 1960s, it just seems like Otto Graham was the class of QBs in the NFL until Montana and Marino came along.

I guess they missed two of the greatest super bowl comebacks. One coming against the LOB and the other against insurmountable odds.

People have total amnesia about the Carolina Super Bowl. Brady put up the second greatest performance (at the time) in Super Bowl history in that game. Threw for 350+ yards. It was a crazy explosion from him.

I like Marino but he should probably be swapped out for Brees

Every one of the picks were in the All-Decades Teams except Marino. I'm OK with the selections, good representation of different styles and eras amongst all good QBs.

Marino was always in Montana's shadow--he was not going to overcome him.

I don’t agree with Marino over Starr either. Or Favre over Starr. Frankly that one’s a head scratcher. But I’ll take it...because it shoots down any arguments for Brees and Rodgers being let down by their teams :)

Was Starr a great QB though? That team ran the ball like crazy, and Starr has the throwing style of, say, Dan Pastorini. Kind of a shot-putter out there.

Brees has all the records plus a title over Marino. Plus has a decent chance of a second this year

Good job, I come here for all my Drew Brees news since yall follow him like a hawk

LOL Drew Brees can't scratch his ass without 14 people rushing to patsfans.com to declare how Brady could scratch it better

You'd think people who had watched their team win 6 championships over the last few years would have a little better perspective

So, so insecure

Yeah, but he called the plays and was as much the offensive coordinator as QB. And the ultimate competitor. Very much like Brady in many ways.

Marino playing in a dome with the Saints from 2000-2020 blows away Brees' stats and wins a couple Super Bowls.

Yes. Incredibly underrated but still retired with best QB rating. Clutch as Brady. Numerous iconic moments.

Could he throw the ball like Marino? No. But called his own plays and was an incredible leader. Dude belonged on the list...the outrage about Brees being snubbed is laughable. Starr is the one who an iconic all-time great.

There's one guy making a post and you sure were here fast to correct us all. You are the only one losing his mind. Why are you even here? Why did you rush here to comment on Drew Brees?

Because I knew there would be a certain segment of Patriots fans who would be all over it once they saw he wasn't named to the team. Same bunch of dipshits who whined like *****es when Drew broke the touchdown record.

I'm just pointing out how pathetic they are. sorry not sorry
