Ted Karras' Improvement

It's both if you ask me. When I realized our 2 recent losses coincided with Ferentz being the starter, a lightbulb went off in my head. Karras' improvement makes the difference that much more noticeable, but Ferentz really is that bad.

Andrews >>>>>> all of the above however
Karras has proven to be a competent center. Not spectacular, but competent and i'll take it.

what have you got against poor ol' Eeephus?

I agree Karras has improved. But the real takeaway is how much better the line looked as soon as Newhouse took over for Cannon.

Those early snaps in games one and two were scary. Glad those are behind us.

I thought it was risky when he was released a couple years ago. Glad we retained him. He’s a good center. Stronger than Andrews, he’s hard to bull rush on.

Mongo only pawn in game of football.

I’m not exactly known for player evaluations, but I’ve always believed that Karras was a capable IOL.

Blasphemy!

Ted Karras is the only center we have. He is not Dave Andrews, but Dave Andrews is not walking through that door this year. With 14 games under his belt, I am glad he has gained experience, grown to become competent. I am thankful.

Do we know if Andrews is back next year? Will he ever play again?

Karras was not good before so this an encouraging sign. Losing Andrews was very bad.

As absolutely historically Terrible as Oldhouse was at LT, he played better at RT on Sunday than Cannon has played there All Season Long.

And compared to the disgracefully weak-ass Thanksdad, anybody is bound to look good...

Earlier this year karras was struggling with making the correct line calls in addition to not having the functional strength and quickness to handle interior defensive linemen.

however, he has improved over the course of the year and is making almost all the line calls correctly. He is, with the experience gained, now a decent backup center/guard,

I have no knowledge of how Andrews is progressing, but I believe he can be back at 100 percent next year.

Signed 3 yr contract in 16...free agent aft this season...his spate of recent good play may cause someone to give him a big payday...bye bye Ted...

He’s gone from Ted Karras to Ned Flanders in a remarkable amount of time

Good player. Along with Wynn and Mason improvement this line is starting to look competent again. Would just be nice if Cannon could return to 2018 Cannon.
