If the D was informed it was just before the snap. The announcers didn’t mention it.

That same defense held the Ravens to 257 yards (118 on the ground), so...

How would that happen? Do they tap the guy with the green dot on the shoulder? I would think that the point of announcing it is that the coaching staff is made aware as well.

It was legal and reportedly both 71 and 73 properly reported as eligible. But supposedly the refs only announced 71 was eligible and failed to inform the defense that 73 (who caught the TD) also reported as eligible which is why BB was steamed.

And if his blocking had been consistently atrocious as many seem to extrapolate from the highly visible fourth down screwup then he would have not played essentially 100% of snaps on offense.

Sure, that was probably a bad call. The idea was that Wynn chips, Sanu cuts Lawson off to slow him down, and Sony outruns Lawson. That probably doesn't account for Lawson getting that far upfield on Wynn, but Sanu still needs to put in an effort to slow him down, so Sony has a chance to get near the LOS. It's the lack of effort, or at least focus, on his blocking assignments that bugs me. Those two plays seem of a type that way. Maybe he's a little lost in the playbook still and can improve when they have two weeks to prepare for KC.

The Ravens don’t have Roberts and Newhouse!

Many fans said during the 2 month offensive drought that the team would need alot to change that wasn't particularly realistic (including myself) - the OL had to improve, Brady needed to play better & they needed another playmaker instead of Edelman & White. They really are going to pull off the revitalized offense thing at the end of the season again.

• Wynn has settled into playing like a franchise LT the last two games.
• Mason has gone from liability to stud the last two games. Getting healthy?
• Harry's quickness from before & after the Texans game is noteworthy. I'll wait for the all-22 thread but he has emerged as that 3rd playmaker on offense - 8 touches for 76 yards, a DPI & a called back deep ball in the last two games.
• Brady's health improving to the point where he looked like himself for the first time in months.
• Honorable mention - Roberts learning how to play FB

If Sanu didn't suck I'd say a 2016 type offense was possible for the playoffs. Regardless they are morphing into the 2018 offense part 2 where Harry has is replacing a lesser Gronk & the OL hopefully is turning back into a strength.

They do have to at least announce it. In the Divisional Game against the Ravens you can clearly hear them announce that Vereen was ineligible and I have heard them announce a lineman as elgible many times in the past. I didn't hear any such announcement last night before the TD.

At the Bengals game last weekend, they announced over the intercom loud and clear that Cinci Bengals # 73 was eligible every play.

It was comical.

I dunno about the 2018 health comparison. We had a healthy/active Edelman, Cannon(?),Develin, Andrews last year. Plus look at the difference in PR and KR at the moment. Paterson was a huge under the radar loss.

Games go that way. Sometimes you're ready for what's thrown at you; sometimes you aren't. The Bills D looked way better than the Pats did against the Ravens in the first half, but couldn't hold-up in the 2nd half after giving-up a big play. They were competitive though.

While it's true that the Pats offense has been struggling, they played great yesterday. They made plays against a tough defense, going 50% on third down, fourth down, and in the red zone. You'd like them to be able to do better than that, but that was enough to dominate ToP and, with the defense making a big stop at the end, to overcome two TOs to win. The Bills aren't elite, but I count them among the 5 playoff caliber teams in the AFC playoffs capable of beating anyone.

Sanu - D

1 Did not extend his arms out to pick up the 1st down on 3rd. Nevermind not running the route deep enough.
2 Did not block at all on the Harry sweep losing 1 yard on 4th. No effort.
3.Later in the game he did something stupid too. I dont recall what it was.

You’re referencing Deatrich Wise Jr. He was ticked off DURING the play, waving his arms over his head while running after the pass in the end zone. He was signaling “That ain’t kosher” from the get-go.

The only question I have is why didn’t Belichick throw the challenge flag if video evidence was so conclusive of the line before the snap. There must’ve been some other reason.

only 3 snaps for Dorsett yesterday. Seems like Meyers and Harry have surpassed him.

Harry looks better each week. He will be our secret weapon in the playoffs if he is fully comfortable. Just get the ball in the guys hands. He has that "gronk" type ability of being hard to tackle where guys are just bouncing off him trying to bring him down. He had a couple plays like that yesterday where a short gain turned into a large one because guys couldnt bring him down.
