WTF are you talking about? Very good gameplan no one just shuts anyone out! Beasley ran wild a bit, but in the end it was well done.
Allowing Buffalo to score at end of the half was all about coaching decisions

I was referring to this game.
Beating devlin Hodges or having a moral victory of hanging in a game aren’t the reasons I think a team should be “feared”.
They are decent. They beat bad teams they competed against decent teams abs struggle against top teams. They don’t do anything that makes them a feared opponent in my view but I would pick them often against other decent teams, just not against playoff caliber ones.

I'm not talking about moral victories but actual victories. Beating the Titans, Cowboys and Steelers that way (and driving down the field for a tie or a win in the final seconds against the Ravens and twice against the Patriots). That's 6 games they played the exact same way.

After his firing next year, Belichick noted:

“I’m proud that I took over a team and won back, to back, to back, to back, to back, to back, to back, to back, to back, to back, to back AFC East division titles.”

Sanu seems to be playing himself into a seat on the pine.

How bad must Dorsett be looking, to have Sanu getting snaps ahead of him?

Dorsett's got a hamstring problem and Sanu has an ankle problem.

They beat the titans with mariotta. The Steelers with Hodges. The cowboys are a joke. They didn’t tie the ravens or the patriots and lost those games. How is that talking about actual victories? They also lost to the eagles and browns.
They are a 10-5 team that played 7 games against teams that gave 5 or fewer wins. Their best wins are against 8-6 teams with a benched QB and a rookie UDFA QB. They are what they are and they are not a team to fear.

Oops, in my UP ARROW post here, I missed one: Tom F****** Brady.

Something's been wrong with him - elbow - and he's seemed in the dumps, pouting, angry...

Tonight he was vintage Brady - leading on the sidelines all night, making incredibly smart plays with the ball, taking what they gave him and just playing like, well, Tom Brady.

Haven't seen that in a while.

Oh, and I'll say it again: Marshall Newhouse. helluva job.

First its going to likely be a must win game so rest isn’t an option. But in the event that kc loses and bmore wins you are on the money. preparing like a normal week, competing and coming out early is fine. Treating the week like a joke always backfires

agreed, even the teams that win usually do not end up winning it all. The Saints last year did this and started off really slow against philly. I wouldn’t go as far as saying it’s why they lost to the rams though.

the Steelers in 2017 started extremely slow against the jags. Almost pulled off the comeback but the abysmal start cost them. There’s plenty more

That makes the question “is home field more important than team health?”

I think that can be argued either way. It also raises the question “how much does sitting <player X> reduce win probability against Miami?” I’d say for Edelman it’s not all that much, and as we’ve discussed elsewhere it might actually be good to make Brady deal with not having his binky. For Brady it’s a much bigger impact, obviously. I’d be okay with sitting Jules as long as they’re playing TB.

A bye matters a ton, homefield matters but not nearly as much (simply because if the 1 seed loses, homefield advantage doesn't matter anyhow).

Football players play football. Bring in sync is important. A bye to self scout, get fresh and put in extra work in practice can help. 2 weeks away from competition is not a plus.
If you have to play wild card week resting key players makes sense but if you earned a bit that’s your rest.

Some second guessing of Bill and Josh...

If the Patriots had missed that 2 point conversion after not taking the penalty on the play, and then lost the game 24-22, we'd be here blaming them for an idiotic decision.
Huh? In that scenario if they took one they lose 24-23. explain under what circumstances that would have been an idiotic decision.

2 seed >>>>>> 3 seed
1 seed >>>>> 2 seed

Every player in the league has injuries.

Dorsett is, and has always been a WR4. the less he sees the field the better this team is going to be.

Tonight was the first time where I almost believed that we can pull of a miracle championship without AB. Much more difficult than it needs to be but if it’s flawless they could do it. Still a hell of a task but I wouldn’t put it past Brady. How could you?

nah
