Its that time of the year again...with just two weeks left figured we could use a fun thread around here. So post your thoughts and predictions.

This was my call a week ago, I don't see any reason to change it now. I see it shaping out like this so...

AFC
1. Ravens 13-3 (Lose week 17 with the 1 seed wrapped up)
2. Patriots 13-3
3. Chiefs 12-4
4. Texans 10-6
5. Bills 11-5
6. Steelers 10-6

NFC
1. Seahawks 13-3
2. Packers 12-4 (Division winner based on better division record)
3. Saints 12-4
4. Eagles 9-7
5. 49ers 12-4 (5th seed based on better conf record)
6. Vikings 12-4

If that’s the case in the NFC, it would likely set up some exciting games.

SF/SEA round three
NO/GB solid matchup

Assuming Dallas gets in over Philly, IMHO you've really only got one second-tier team in the playoffs in either league, and that's the Steelers. Dallas has been up and down, but the talent is undeniable.

This is shaping up to be a very entertaining postseason.

In the OP's scenario, I would give the Texans and more so the Bills a puncher's chance of giving the grackles a game, if not upsetting them altogether.

Going to merge this with McColby's

Yep, thats what I was thinking. Both conferences should be entertaining football. I think the Pit/Bal matchup would be interesting if they could find a way to trip the Chiefs up....Kinda like the Jets/Pats from 2010 always tough to play a team that familiar with you. But hard to envision the Steelers going into KC and pulling out a win. Was hoping the Steelers would beat the Bills and be the 5th seed. Any given Sunday.

I agree, I just think we've seen this Philly/Dallas game deciding the division quite a few times and I give the nod to Philly based on being home and if the game comes down to a FG do you have faith in Forbath?

My predictions have the season ending looking like this. As much as I dislike this outcome, you have to give the Ravens credit where credit is due.

I would like to see Eagles beating Dallas but if Greg Ward is their leading receiver against Redskins ( no DJax, Jeffrey and Agholor ) IT will be a though thing to beat Cowboys. However I hope the Eagles will take their spot in playoffs.

I don't disagree that Philly has the edge in that game... just saying that TALENT-wise, Dallas is better. Heck, Philly only just barely beat the Redskins.

I agree with your AFC picks, but I think the 9ers will beat Seattle. I don’t know how the NFC tiebreak will work, but I think SF is still the best team in the NFC. They’ll be in the SB even if they have to play on the road to get there

1. Bal 14-2
2. KC 12-4
3. NE 12-4
4. Hou 11-5
5. Buf 12-4
6. Pit 10-6

WC weekend: @NE over Pit (double digit win), @Hou over Buf (close game)
Div Round: @KC over NE (blowout), @Bal over Hou (blowout)
AFC Champ: KC over @Bal (one score game)

This season hasn't gone the way I hoped it would. I really wanted to see some team get left out over a weaker "division winner." The best chance for that to happen now is in the NFC. If the Rams can beat SF this week they can get to 10-6 but still miss out.

These are my AFC predictions;

1 - Balt (14-2, even if they rest vs Pitt)
2 - NE (13-3)
3 - KC (12-4)
4 - Hou (10-6)
5 - Buf (11-5)
6 - Pitt (9-7)

KC beats Pitt
Buf beats Hou

Bal beats Buf
NE beats KC

Bal beats NE

NFC

1 - Sea (13-3)
2 - NO (13-3)
3 - GB (12-4)
4 - Dal or Phi (9-7)
5 - SF (12-4)
6 - Min (12-4)

GB beats Min
SF beats Dal or Phi

Sea beats SF
NO beats GB

NO beats Sea

Bal beats NO in SB

I don't see SF getting the top seed over NO or GB. The only way that happens is if both teams lose another game and I don't think they will. And SF will still have to go to Seattle and win there in the last game. That won't be easy for SF.

SF is 11-3 and beat both NO and GB. So if they beat Seattle they’ll finish 13-3 and win tiebreakers over NO and GB. Those two teams don’t need to lose. SF just has to win their next two, including at Seattle.

In the OP's scenario, I would give the Texans and more so the Bills a puncher's chance of giving the grackles a game, if not upsetting them altogether.

That's new to me. My inner word-nerd thanks you!

Sf and Seattle play each other. Sf has the tie breaker over GB.
