Should be concerned that a week in and this isnt resolved yet. That's why this is tiring.

What part of Advanced scouts can't film anything is hard to understand? The Patriots cannot put a camera in the press box and film the side lines, and they most definitely cannot put someone in their employ in the stands to film upcoming or gameday opponents (not sure why you ever thought that would be okay). It is against the rules.
It's not hard to understand.....
Once some one explained it.
That's why I asked. I didn't know the rules .

Well, I've seen Mayo and Steve Belichick motioning signs during the broadcast, which further proves this is a farce.

The point is pre-headsets on D, you could make some kind of a case NE was trying to get an advantage.

Now? Laughable beyond belief. They show hand signals on the flippin' broadcast!

But, yeah, a scout is going to be observe anything and everything and take notes of the times he sees them.

I bet this segment of the doc will never get produced, and it would have been cool to see, too.

the defense is installed via the communications system vs the old way of doing so ... has been since 2008... so a farce? i dont think so

Yes, this cheating claim against NE is another farce. Yes. I have no idea what your other comments mean.

Not gonna get into a debate, but JFK was hit by 2 different bullet types. First was a full metal jacket that went through his back and was most likely a kill shot anyways. The 2nd bullet was a hollow point that exploded part of his skull. Follow the logic there.
That was one magic loogie...

Greg, this is the exact hot-take garbage you fraudulently vowed would not be featured on your website

a) this is Twitter. B) That's not a hot-take. That is my opinion as a 20-year NFL writer and my sources in the league. That's called reporting.

The idiot part is in bold. He makes it clear he's offering his *OPINION* and then in the next sentence calls it "reporting". Uh no Greg. Reporting is NOT opinion-giving. Those are two VERY different things, and it's one reason why "scandals" like this explode.

As someone trained in journalism, this is just offensive in nearly every way, though I guess the reality is that most media people today think this is how it should be. Drives me bananas.
I still can't believe any of you people voluntarily pay money to that turd.

People here do? lmao

I mean, I was really disappointed Jeff Howe went there. He was great and now he's nothing as far as a beatwriter. Sucks, because you could trust him and now he sold out like when Reiss went to ESPN along with Bruschi.

its not a farce though. The team is in trouble. They broke the rules. Whether it was intentional or not, someone in their employ pointed a camera at the field and filmed an upcoming opponent. They absolutely cannot do that.

Are their mitigating circumstances that should be considered? Yes there are.

Do you think New England will get the benefit of the doubt? Based on the way the league has handled Patriot discipline in the past vs the rest of the league (especially in light of how they glad-hand others ie the Giants using walkie-talkies, the Jets having cameras on the sidelines in 2011, the Vikings & Steelers doctoring ball psi, completely ignoring the use of HGH by manning, not investigating the colts piping in crown noise etc ad nauseum) do you think that will be the case?

Jeff Howe is at The Athletic, and is amazing at his job.

How ironic is it that the day the Chiefs equipment goes missing and people automatically try to blame the Pats, a framejob attempt was going down in Cincy?

Also, how ironic is it, that NE is doing these documentary pieces to show behind the scenes FOOTAGE on the inner workings of the team, and yet somehow, they're labeled doing it in order to cheat the 1-12 Bungles.

Our country gets dumber and dumber by the day.

It's nothing to do with fairness, the game, #integrity, competitive balance, or anything else. It's storylines for the NFL and absolute bullsh1t and/or paranoia for the sacrificial Bengals and the officiating beneficiary Chiefs. But...

Also, it was pretty far from that school book suppository building.

No doubt it was a MIke Brown thing just as Woody Johsnon told Rich Cimini "we caught them red handed!"

Cimini had that as an "unnamed source". Laughable. They're framejobs.

WFAN in Ciminatti.

Randy Moss was seriously on ESPN and acted like this bullsh*t held merit.

What a joke. He should be ashamed.

Really? It’s pile on time. We are going to get fined big time and draft picks for sure. BB might get a suspension.

He won’t get a suspension unless they can prove he was lying. Which I doubt.

A big fine is a certainty and a lost pick is looking more likely.

On Monday after 15 Sunday games, this story makes the NBC nightly news and not near the end but maybe the 4th or 5th major news item of the day. It was very slanted (all the cheat history in videos) but I doubt anyone watching this could say "what a serious offense!" All they showed were meaningless camera shots of the Cincy sideline which seemed far more boring than watching an online traffic cam in some buried small town. But I'm sure it accomplished its goal of building up the divisive hate.

He and Bruschi both felt the Pats were stupid to allow this to happen. They didn't say the Pats were deliberately doing it...

BB ain't getting sh**. Stop being so fu**ing dramatic.

Bruschi’s take.

Nothing else to add except - yep.
