NFL has suspended Josh Gordon indefinitely

this is repercussion of being around AB

Belichick obviously saw signs from him that this was coming.

Can’t get out of his own way. Given far more chances than he deserves and continues to screw up and get the benefit of the doubt.

Very sad for him. I know some might feel that we shouldn't feel sad for a multimillionaire who got to play a game for a living.

I think not accomplishing your dreams is better than getting close and your demons destroying it all.

shocking........

I guess Goodell didn't realize he wasn't on the Pats anymore...

Seriously, I' m bummed that the kid couldn't straighten himself out. So sad.

I will forever remember your 2013 season, which is the greatest receiving season I have ever personally witnessed.

Now, please, for the love of all things holy Flash, get some help dude.

Substance abuse has taken away your privilege to play in this league. I hope it doesn't destroy anything more.

Did you witness Moss 2007 season?

The people who either, a.) make fun of Gordon for his struggles, OR b.) make fun of those who genuinely empathize with the guy - are seemingly naive, inexperienced, or ignorant.

Anyone who has experienced drug addiction or mental health struggles won't make light of this situation in the slightest.

Yup.

Flash put up a 87/1646/9 split in 2013 in 14 games (6.2/118/.64 per game)
Mos put up a 98/1493/23 split in 2007 in 16 games (6.13/93/1.44 per game)

ETA - Further, Flash was literally the only offensive threat on that team (Unless Jason Campbell, Trent Richardson and Greg Little count for much).

I stand by my statement.

I will always stand by Josh Gordon and to me he is a Patriots for life (barring he starts hurting people and then I will stop supporting him). I have suffered my own demons as well.I suffer from mental illness and I fight everyday. I am doing better this year, but sometimes still struggle. Josh Gordon isnt a bad man.. He has a good heart and I won't stop supporting him because he relapsed. My dad was an alcoholic too. Well, still is.

Wait... PED’s? That’s quite a different story and not really anything to do with personal demons.

He may very well have CTE and just can't help it or reason like a rational person. Josh and AB are people I will not be surprised if they have CTE.

With Jules current injuries, could you imagine this thread right now if Gordon was still a Pat?

Interesting. This time it's apparently PEDs as well as the usual substance abuse stuff.

So what do you know -- apparently unlike many geniuses here, the idiotic, clueless Bill Belichick may have had some idea that something was going on after all when he cut Gordon.
Nailed for PEDs is an interesting detail.

So it wasn't booze or drugs that basically ended his NFL career but a substance he used to perform better on the field.

Ironic and just plain ole sad.

Yeah I saw it too. PEDs are new to the Gordon saga. There have been whispers about the Seahawks for a few years with this crap. Interesting.

or he used then trying to recover from the issue that landed him on the Patriots IR ...

and I don't doubt that substance abuse played a part with him being late for meetings etc in New England...

yeah, it's over.

Yes possible.

He might have been using again. We don't know.

Josh will be signing autographs next Friday under a highway bridge in Seattle.
