See post #53 and #55 which now have evolved to contract talk. What is your point? Can you not read?

If Jason Witten can come back at 37, then we can at least envision a Gronk comeback at 30. He needs this time away from the game to get his back right and restore his flexibility. Count me in for a Gronk comeback story, maybe in 2021, after he gets married, settles down, and moves to Foxboro or Sharon for the great public schools! Can you imagine Gronk raising 5 boys of his own like his Mom did? Those kids would tear up the Hockomock League.

For old timers this reminds me of when someone walked into the Celtics locker room before a championship game and Dave Cowens was asleep on the floor in the shower.

Cowens was a different sport earlier version of Gronk.....

Greatest skill player I have ever seen. Give me a healthy Gronk in his prime over literally anyone else to ever lace them up.

The only non-QB I ever saw who had more impact on his team was Jim Brown. Maybe Earl Campbell too, but they never won.

And imagine if the other tight end wasn't a murderer.... unstoppable offense
Man AH was a monster on the field(and literally off)...Imagine him and Gronk dominating together

Lawrence Taylor.

3 decades have past since he was in his prime and the hype and legend equals reality.

Considering the 3 years they were on the same team the O averaged almost 33 a game I think we have our answer.

LT and Jerry Rice. And OJ presumably (he accounted for 60%+ of his team's total offense as a running back in his 2000 yard season after all) but too young to know him as anything other than actor/murderer.

I think Witten and Gronk have completely different physical and mental makeups. Not really comparable.

LT and Rice for sure.

OJ -no

Yeah, Gronk probably looked at Witten's year as announcer and said "oh ****, I better retire fast before my brains end up like that."

We probably beat Denver without Gronk in 13 with AH and Jules as the primary targets since Gronk got IRed that year.

No question chances would have been better.

I highly doubt Tom was in studio. I bet Manning/Montana and maybe another one.

Please have Montana in the studio when Brady is revealed. Eisen or someone else will make a GOAT comment and I need to see a shot of Montana with a blank reaction, awkwardly trying hard not to show any disagreement or agreement.

Regards,
Chris

They only have 2 guests per show. It's not at all surprising that Gronk wasn't one of the guests as they had 2 great guests already there.

Joe Montana wouldn't even come to the Super Bowl for $10K and all expenses paid where they were honoring Super Bowl winning QBs. I think he wanted at least $50K. I'd be shocked if he made an appearance. Too many other QBs who appreciate what the NFL allowed them to do and to be who aren't in it solely for themselves.

Wasn't this at SB50 in his backyard?

In LT, Lewis and Mean Joe Green they once had 3 all at once.

YES. It was at the new 49ers stadium.

Joe is just an insecure dude. Lame.
He missed out. Probably would have got a huge ovation from the locals who ponied up the cash to see a SB without having the added hotel and airfare costs.

Regards,
Chris
