Prayers to Cyrus Jones - Open Heart Surgery

He’s young and strong... not old, decrepit, and weak like a Gen Xer or a Boomer. He should be able to make a quick recovery per his strong, young, millennial genes.
Handled the rigors of an SEC schedule pretty f'n well. I'm sure he was awake the whole time studying his playbook.

Man some of you are the type to put "You were a bust" on the card when you send flowers to his room, sheesh!

Ok?

You're definitely one of the weirdos here. You sort of remind me of the fans on the Chiefs board, all angry, insecure and defensive.
At least I have my youth though. Millennials are definitely the wave of the future. Young, vibrant, exceptionally strong. We would take you, in your advanced age, and stuff you into a trash can. I bet if I was there right now, my youthful strength and power would enable me to literally rip your limbs off and beat you to within an inch of your life with them. I might just settle for turning you upside down and dunking your head into a toilet though. And there would be nothing you can do about it because you’re too feeble as a non-millennial.

Hell, I might go rip a tree in half after this. Why? Because I’m at my absolute physical peak. Life is good when you’re millennial. Best generation of all time for sure. I’m sure you agree.

I loved him at Alabama. He was a good returner there. I have one of his autographed Alabama jerseys in my closet.

My prayers and good wishes to him and those around him.

FWIW, I had open heart surgery in 2015. It took me 6 weeks before I was allowed to ride in a car, and about 6 months to get back to my old self, being able to get around easy and such.

That whole 6-weeks rest and stay out of cars is to allow the sternum to knit itself back together.

Yikes, never really thought about it that way but it does make sense that even a minor car accident could be catastrophic if your sternum isn't fully healed.

Wow! Never has the life of a celebrity that I didn't know moved me to tears. Reading this however did that because at 26 my best friend passed away due to something similar.

I hope he can make a recovery even if he never sees the field again and I am so happy they found it before he went to sleep one night and didn't wake.

My condolences on your friend.

Between that and your parents getting shot in front of you when you were a child, I can see why you’ve taken up the cape and cowl.

I forgot my username and was very confused. I then laughed which I needed. I've been member here for 12 years and this place makes me smile when I need it.

What does a Millennial have to do with anything?

I’m surprised you can’t see the sarcasm in Konta’s post. The joke on millennials (which I am...barely) is that they feel like they are entitled to everything. In this case, they feel like they are immune to poor health like old people and that they are entitled to the best health care. So he’ll recover.

What do you think of Robert Patterson taking up the cape and cowl in the next movie based on you?

Much good thoughts and prayers to Cyrus Jones today!

I know it didn't work out for him in NE, but he seemed like a really good kid who was just trying his best. I was struck by an article after his rookie season where he had confided to someone that he couldn't sleep for weeks after the season because he was so disappointed with his play. They are human being, folks.

A very similar thing killed Maravich

Cyrus Jones was a beast punt returner in College. I get why the Pats took him as they thought he could be the next Devin Hester. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out.

I am sure he'll sparkle so brightly.
He’ll still shaking that off but I think he’s a very good underrated actor.

Warmest wishes to him for a full recovery.

Yeah, that's Robert Pattinson.
