I'm Finally Convinced: This is Brady's Last Year in New England

Brady has done everything in his career, well except perhaps being a FA and playing for a new team.

Well this thread should get interesting. I needed some more good news to get my mind off the latest Pats controversy!

Get yer popcorn ready?

The ol 6 rings card anytime someone points out the truth about the subpar NE RBs and WRs.

How do you know that Brady would not have won a Super Bowl with the Chargers? You dont. All you have is well we got 6 rings and they have none as if the NE drafts really didnt suck after all because Brady saved the day.
Yes true. We are just lucky to win 6 SBs with a bad overall drafted team every time in general and poor drafting and average coaching and ownership .Look at the amazing coaching they did with a better team vs the pats in the playoff game. Just rivers messed it up. Otherwise they played such great defense.
Chargers wouldve won a SB just by inserting brady there with their well sounded ownership and coaches over the yrs. They just have missed that brady like QB , everything else has been great with them with the draft.
I mean if brady had those charger WRs and RBs in last yr's SB we wouldve scored 30 vs the Rams and actually won . Oh wait , we just scored 13 and still won. Lucky us.
All you have is BB draft sucks , every time the team goes through a bad phase . Every time. There is no recognition for the things they do good which also contribute towards the success or recognize any issues wrt to injuries or anything. So what if we are playing our 3rd center of the yr e.g. ? Automatically chargers are a better team minus QB because they drafted amazingly well, apparently.

Stats?

You really want to blame Newhouse, the rest of that pathetic O-line, no Gronk, 2 rookie receivers, and an overpaid Sanu - all on Brady? You kidding me?

newhouse 7-1..wynn 3-2 ?

I think he's done soon as well and honestly I am mentally prepared. I think this version of the NE Patriots is nearing its end even if he retires or not. Love Brady, but I am ready for a future without him.
Unless we see a return to peak form from Brady in the final weeks and playoffs, then I'd rather press the reset switch this offseason than have another year or two of encroaching mediocrity. I'd also be happy to have an average Brady if we can sign Beckham and/or a few stellar offensive linemen to help bolster the running game.

If we do move on from Brady, it'd be worth paying Belichick, his son, and Mayo obscene money to coach for 5-10 more years so they have an incentive to help the rebuild. I'd also give McDaniels a chance with the new offense if he wants it; I have a feeling though that he's going to want to pursue a head coaching gig. Ideally, the head coaching successor can then be Belichick's son or Mayo after years of additional of experience with the defense.

Plus, with Belichick we likely won't become doormats. We aren't making afccg every season but i can easily see us going 9-7 under Belichick without brady

Pats have given Brady every indication of how much they want him to be here....... by not extending him and letting him hit feee agency. Now it’s up to Brady to plan for his future accordingly and potentially wrap up local assets and local engagements. Brady can’t commit to any local organisation for next year.

I get really sad thinking about Tom Brady in another uniform. I pray to our dark lord Satan that this does not happen. In his infernal name, so mote it be.

Have you read the thread?

.

Sure did. And that's why I posed that question. Because nothing that I've read points to anything conclusive, or even close.

Brady has never faced being a FA. In addition as part of this latest pay bump Brady insisted on having the franchise tag removed.

The man desires control over his destiny.

Call me naive, but if the parties are mutually interested, I expect a contract to be drawn soon.

Is this clickbait?
Whatever it is, there’s nothing we can do about whatever happens with Brady.

We can speculate all we want, but I really don’t understand why.

The other fact is they have always figured out a contract which works for both sides.

Here is hoping they can do it one more time

Because it’s what we do, who we are. I’ll let Rambo explain...

Its the same song and dance.

The NE offense right today is ranked 30th in points. Spin all you want.

I just don't see him at 42, starting a all over again in a new city/state, system, teammates, OC, HC..... He might as well retire.

If we had Gimmy G in the background behind TB, I could see how this could be the end, but we don't have a viable option at QB. Stidham, is a placeholder, nothing more.

newhouse 7-1..wynn 3-2 ?
EXACTLY. He looked great in Baltimore. Offense went to **** once Wynn came back. I'm starting the thread now!!

So, you are indifferent with regard to Brady, and to Josh for that matter. Also, Dante will be gone soon. You would pay Belichick, Mayo and Bill's son to rebuild.

???

Does the defense need rebuilding? Is Mayo an offensive genius? Is Belichick? Is his son?

We need a plan for rebuilding the OFFENSE.
