Nice contribution that definitely addresses the points made in the OP.

He brought up the offense not getting it done and how he thinks we will get it sorted out. I proceeded to go on and give my thoughts on the offense and how I don't think they will sort it out because of the lack of talent they have. So, yeah.

We had no business winning 4-5 of our Super Bowls but we also had no business losing the three that we did lose, or losing in 06 or 15 in the AFC finals, or....

That 2006 AFCCG game still haunts me. #rexgrossmanwaitingforus

Thats exactly the point. A lot of things have to break to win these championships. Doesnt happen as often it has for us. I didnt say we didnt deserve to win any of those games.
By the law of averages we have won more than what people expect in a parity driven league. If sanu catches the 4th down in houston ,maybe its a different game. So its easy to kill the players for dropping balls or making bad plays but no one bats 1.0000.

Pats may have their worst offense during this dynasty but they also may have their best defense. Will likely not be favored in every game but are certainly good enough to win it all. Plenty of teams with weaknesses have won their conference or the Super Bowl in the past 20 or so years. The 10-6 2012 Ravens were a play away from being done in divisional round
2011 Giants were 7-7 and needed other team help the last week of the season just to make the playoffs Cardinals were 9-7, got smoked by a Cassell let Pats team late in the year and were a play or 2 away from holding the trophy
Pats will be a tough out - not saying that will win it but no reason to think they will not be at least very competitive.

We could have won 4 more, but we could have lost the ones we did win...it cuts both ways.

In watching last years playoff games, the run blocking from Gronk, Devlin, Allen, Mason, Trent Brown, Andrews, and Thuney was consistently amazing. Those guys are gone, gone, gone, gone, hurt?, gone, gone, and still here (Thuney). Suitable replacements , other than maybe Wynn and also Mason returning to health/form, are not walking through that door.

So we are not going to be able to do what was critical for success last postseason. The only hope, offensively, is for Harry/Meyer/Sanu to get in sync with TB12 and for the GOAT to carry us, yet again, supported by awesome D.

as Evan Lazar pointed out, if the pass protection is like it was vs houston, we will get the offense going eventually . Unfortunately too many DCs now know that this oline cant handle blitz packages and pressures well. Pats need to hope that karras comes back and mason, cannon and wynn elevate their level because they havent been playing well together .

He made a decent point that the OL getting better is the main driver of any success we'll have going forward, which I agree with, and you didn't address that at all and instead complained that we don't have AB, which apparently has to be the focus of every thread for the next two years.

I didn't "complain" about not having AB. I simply said I think him being on the team is our only shot at improving to any significant degree on offense this year because I don't think we have the talent otherwise.. Literally one sentence out of everything I wrote was about AB.... And I only brought up AB because the OP brought up AB.

Funny you jump at me for not addressing the OP and then you in the same breath get mad that I brought up something the OP brought up, nice.

Fair enough. Still though I think the OLine has a chance to get better, maybe if we get the bye some of the players who look to be playing hurt can rest up a bit and improve their performance in the playoffs.
