A Note to Bob Kraft

.......But I suppose some on here think that because he owns the team and did good things in the past, he can do whatever he wants now. I wish I could get that kind of carte blanche in my life.

Buy a team
save it from leaving town
build a beautiful stadium without forcing PSLs on the fandom
then go to 10 Super Bowls in 25 years.

It's a very easy formula. You can do it starting............NOW!!!!!

If you know what I mean, and I know what I mean, and you're still sitting here complaining about how I've successfully communicated -- who's the real Simpelton
Put down the mirror and we'll hold a vote, Snotty Snottingham

He didn’t hire Parcells.

But the 2 HC's he did hire were Pete Carroll and Bill Belichick.

In retrospect, that's pretty freaking great.

Kraft needs to stay out of personnel decisions.

over ruling bb on jimmy g and then booting brown? Kraft is zero for two on personnel moves.

Kraft needs to return to the dragon spa and concentrate on happy endings and alcohol.

As always, you can be counted on to be fatuous and facile.

If becoming a billionaire is the only notable accomplishment one can make on this earth, then yes, RK has absolutely outshone me. I think there might be one or two intelligent folk throughout history who would take exception to that stance.

If, conversely, there are other achievements that could reasonably be said to equal or even surpass marrying into money, then it stands to reason that there might be a few or several people walking around who have achieved more than RK. And you have no idea whether that group might include me.

That's been said over and over and no one has proof Kraft did that, unless you have proof stop spouting that BS.

He should get all the credit in the world for keeping the team here, making the correct hiring decision with BB and the way he built the stadium. And his continued outreach programs and whatnot.

But since hiring BB he really didn't have much impact on the football side of things which is where I don't understand what exactly to give him credit for. Generally not meddling ? That is an easy proposition for a team that has had continued success for almost two decades.

His most notable moments since the early 2000s were being limp and accepting punishment during Cameragate and PSIgate. Those actually had an impact on the football side of things.

Not trying to rip him at all but the football operations are running on autopilot. Yeah, he opens the pocket for facility upgrades but on some level isn't this what we'd expect an owner to do ?

I suppose the high tech sleeping beds and the airplane are something where thankfulness is in order.

You know the intimate details of how Jimmy G transpired, how??

AB's behavior before, during and after his brief stint here was an embarrassment to the NFL and to the Patriots.. if AB had any brains, instead of a huge ego, he would have dropped out of the social media foray and kept a low profile. Instead he chose to continue his idiocy and make him persona non grata..

Throwing in the spa bullcrap is just another distraction from the issue at hand.

This fan is forever indebted to Mr. Kraft and all that he has done here for the NEP. He has made some mistakes, and fallen short on some issues, but most importantly he has allowed this team to flourish.. 6 Superbowl wins in 9 appearances convinces me...

He’s not a football coach. I don’t understand the argument made by some that he should be.

He is an OWNER. I judge him as an OWNER.

Hence the question still stands (and no one has ever come up with an answer since I’ve asked it several weeks ago): Name one (just ONE) who is better among the other 31.

I’ll wait for the answer.

The front office is to blame one way or another for how the Brown thing turned out. You either need to blame them for cutting ties with him too early (when they could have just waited to see if the NFL put him on the exempt list and walked away blame-free if so) or you need to blame them for desperately signing him in the first place due to ****ting the bed at WR position two years in a row. Take your pick.

It's almost like Robert Kraft is a human being or something. Amazing!

I wonder what these anti-Bob folks are going to say when his bust goes up alongside BB and Tom's in Canton.

Nothing. He deserves to be in Canton. That doesn’t mean we should be sucking his **** at every turn because he did what he was supposed to do as an owner (which was allow the football operations side to run the team and retain them if they continued to do a good job). His job was by far and away the easiest of the Big 3 and I can make a very cogent argument that he was even less important than Ernie Adams was for this run.

I keep seeing this. What exactly has Kraft given us that he hasn’t been repaid in spades for? We’re supposed to celebrate that he’s managed to stay out of the football ops for most of BB’s tenure here while the fans have helped make his franchise the #7 most valuable franchise on the planet? Seems as if the fans have already done enough to repay the drunken old man. Of all the people to thank for the franchise’s success since 2001, Kraft is either third or fourth on the list (depending on where you slot Ernie Adams).

You don’t have to watch....you don’t have to support

This is a game played on the field coached by a guy who has as much control over his team as anyone.

certain things have not worked out as well as expected this year. It’s not his fault.

that said, if BB indeed had nothing to do with 2019gate then Kraft has just had a direct negative impact on the team......his team though, and he can do as he pleases.....if it’s so damned disappointing, there’s always the golf channel

sucking his what? You actually do that?

I can name many of the other 31 as equivalently good owners because there is literally nothing Kraft has done to distinguish himself from them. And things from about 20-25 years ago are not getting a pass for why he is "great" in 2019.

What makes him a great owner relative to Schneider (rip), Ford, Wilf, Biscotti, Khan or the Rooneys ?

All of them are not trigger happy with personnel, let their coaches and GMs work and do the same amount of community outreach. What exactly has Kraft done in the last 15 years that puts him above them ? What makes him "great" ?

My point is not he is a bad owner, but that he is more or less the same kind of owner as most of the good ones.

I don’t watch football (or any sport for that matter) for the owner of the team. If you do, to each their own. That’s pretty strange though.

Give me your personal rank order of importance for this run: Bill, Brady, Kraft.

Great, another cloaked AB thread. :(

Not really. It’s just very weird to heap this much praise on a guy for essentially not being a micromanager. His key role is literally being hands-off re: the football operations. Therefore, by the very definition of his role, there are multiple people we can thank for this run before we thank Kraft.

sounds like you do

I don't give a **** about who's more important for this run........it's a meaningless notion
