BGC 2020 QB/PTP Thread

Traits & tools for days. ++ Arm talent. Great person. Young enough to sit & learn. Familiar w some of our concepts. Very excited abt this.

Been hearing this for a minute now. Love would be a great pick if he was available next spring.

This would be a great career move for him. He needs to play in bigger games, against better opponents. I think the NFL is too big of a jump right now.

Good for him, but isn't a first round talent and only a day 2 guy if he wows at Combine, interviews, etc.

I have no interest in him for NE, but wish him the best
Was asking for your thoughts but I'm good, thanks.

OK, let me address the elephant in the room.

Let's assume, for the sake of argument, that Brady is not on the team next year. That would leave Jarrett Stidham and Cody Kessler on the roster.

What would you expect BB to do at QB in such a scenario? I'm not sure, but the thing that would most surprise me is to spend $10M+ to bring in an aging starter.

Wonder what BB would think of Ryan Tannehill or Andy Dalton is that fictitious scenario, not sure

Stidham I am a fan of, curious what his ceiling utimately is

Kessler is a JAG (Just a Guy)...Really not sure why he's on the 53

Bb seems pretty high on Stidham.

I could see bb starting Stidham and having a veteran backup.

Brady will be back

no doubt in my mind.

job 1 for bb this offseason. Fix the o line!

job 2 for bb this offseason. Get us real wide receivers and a couple of tight ends.

job 3 for bb this offseason. Fix the run defense.

Hope we can somehow afford Thuney (And Collins and KVN and D Mac...), plus we'll have Cajuste and Froholdt back and God willing Andrews

Definitely need some weapons on O...TE group is pathetic and WR group is under performing...really need to hit on a difference maker, maybe Harry is, but we'll see

Lot of good DTs avaialble in FA, wonder if BB bites, good DT class in the draft too

davis from Alabama is perfect for our defense. Not much of a pass rusher, but solid as a brick wall against the run.

Go get Teddy Bridgewater on the market, Stidham as backup. Use draft picks to fill out other needs. Get some good running backs and playmaking receivers

These guys really don't watch these prospects. Not new but you'd expect more. McShay been taking it on the chin lately.

Promise I'm done ****posting lol.

BB loves those big boys and somehow the run D gets gashed anyways
Just might be what we need for a fall to grab him. No arrest, simple citation & cut loose. Shouldn't be an issue in 2020 tbh.

Jordan Love and two other Utah State football players charged with marijuana ...
Another red flag on a player that probably should have transferred for one last ride...gross stats, gross mechanics...good story though

He lost his entire offense including his fav target/security blanket in Raymond. Lost coaches/OC. Stats were expected to drop, esp w the year he had last year. Tough to match that. Mechanics are hit or miss. Definitely has to work on his footwork & decision making along w a few other things. No red flags so I disagree there. You don't teach his talent though. Wouldn't mind gambling on him at all.

I've heard he was transferring or going to the NFL for months now & Id prefer he goes to the NFL. If he went to Texas Tech or OK he'd most likely be way out of our reach the following year.

This is the best case for us if we lile him. I know NO, Indy, Jax are also interested.

I admit to being wrong about Jamie Newman from Wake Forest. I must've been watching the wrong guy or something. He has a nice arm and good mechanics. He's also very athletic and comes off as a hard-nosed leader. I like him a lot.
