Josh McD: “I need to get Harry the ball more often”

McDaniels said he is the first guy in and the last guy out everyday. Nobody works harder than Harry, apparently. We can take from that two things...

1. He’ll start to get it soon enough (I hope).

2. Brady is slipping.
or he's a slow learner

Didn’t realize he got hurt

I would have liked to have seen the last play in the EZ go to Harry and not JE. Love JE but Breeland had it easy batting the ball away.

As long as Harry is physical and knows how to box out DBs (a key), hes the logical choice in that situation.

Hence, the problem with Brady...he has his favorites

Shouldn't we asking ourselves WHY Harry doesn't have more snaps?

If he is able to perform Patterson type plays, do you think that Josh is holding him back?

If he is the first in and the first out, perhaps he just doesn't get it yet? Ya think? Otherwise, Josh would certainly have him in the game for more than 2 snaps.

So, Josh says that he wants to play Harry more.
Harry isn't getting snaps.

There IS an answer. We just don't know which is the right answer.

For a guy who’s the first one in and the last one out of practice he needs to be on the field more than 2 snaps, especially in a game where we abandoned the run.

“and stop calling negative yards play, too”

Patterson ran mostly gimmick type plays. I'm not a fan of Harry turning into that type of player.

I guess Harry was out then, but totally agree. He’s got to be the guy there. That’s why the pick last week was so atrocious, it’s why he’s on the team.

Harry must be bad in practice or he'd get more plays. Surely they can come up with safe ways to let him do his thing until he can be consistently trusted in coverage.

he has barely played 5 games. Gronk had 3 catches in his first 5 games (or was it the other way ?). You cant make anything out of this year.

Belichick has assured us that Harry has the mental stuff down, and that the issue is that he's not yet executing at the level needed. However, despite BB's assurances, we've seen that Harry's been a problem in games when it comes to the mental angle as well as the physical.

So, if we are to believe BB, we know the problems. Harry is not physically executing plays properly, and he's also not translating his understanding of the game from practices to game conditions. Or, as some of us keep having to repeat:

Harry's not ready.

If this team hadn't screwed the pooch on AB/Gordon/Thomas, Harry might not even be active right now.

November 17th...

Bad in terms of not up to speed. Not bad (at least I don't think) as a barely an NFL player

I think problem #1 is they gave him number 15. Pats have never had a good WR with a jersey number in the teens.....

.

I’m no coach, so I defer to BB/Josh, but I would think slants and WR screens would be a decent way to use him.

@oldrover, just what the hell do you think there was to disagree with about my post?

It's amazing how many people in the Patriots locker room are tied for the "hardest working guy" award. The one guy who's not tied probably laughs about it on the way home every day.

It's the same as putting faith in Richards for HaViNG a GrEaT iQ!!111

Everyone's getting blamed for the offensive woes, including Brady, the o-line, etc.. Very little finger pointing towards McD...
There should indeed be more fingers pointed at Skippy...lots more.

His short-yardage play-calling, especially in GTG situations, is, in the words of former president Carter, a disgrace to the human race...

The ball should've gone to Meyers, who was open, or to Sanu, who was starting to become open right next to Meyers...but definitely not to Edelman. Was Harry even on the field for that last snap?
