I would not be shocked at all if the sideline was being filmed at some point anyways. That would be obvious to me. But is there anything being focused upon, and are they looking at the clock as a reference? That’s what I want to know.
I don’t see why a general camera view of the Bengals sideline would be any suspicious indicator that more than a simple infraction occurred. Whether it’s more than that will be telling.
I said no competitive advantage or intent to gain a competitive advantage. The latter was certainly true. That was also their rationale behind the “repeat offenders” in a DeflateGate because they “concluded” that Brady and staffers were trying to gain a competitive advantage. If the NFL is inclined to believe the Patriots as Rapoport has reported but Mort has not yet confirmed, that means the Patriots were not trying to gain a competitive advantage and it truly was an honest error. That should completely change things.Goodell said Spygate had no competitive advantage gained either and we lost our first rounder... and that was when we were not “repeat offenders” in the eyes of the league and in perception.

I don’t think they did anything to warrant a punishment. Of course this means that the NFL will likely confiscate picks. But in reality, there doesn’t sound like there was any harm done. That camera crew should be relieved of their duties, though. What an utter lack of awareness given what this franchise went through during Spygate. I’d be surprised if they weren’t fired on the spot.
I think it’s clear a fine is coming no matter what.In this case I’d say the latter would depend exactly what was on the tape and why it was done.
but they did break the rules intentional or not. They will be penalized.

Not sure what to make of this...is ordway reliable?
Yes, there will be a penalty, no doubt. But the distinction is between a $250k fine versus a $1m fine, 1 year BB suspension, and 2 first round pick forfeitures. One penalizes the team for its lack of controls and proper oversight and doesn’t try to correct for any competitive imbalance; the other penalizes the team for lack of oversight and controls, plus intends to both punish and correct the on field produce for attempting to gain a competitive advantage (yet again in the eyes of the league). Huge distinction, penalties in both cases though. In this case I’d say the latter would depend exactly what was on the tape and why it was done.

Report: NFL 'Inclined To Believe' Patriots' Explanation On Bengals Video, Resolution Could Come Soon
Has anyone gone through this yet? Early indications from Rapoport and others have been relatively encouraging in terms of what the feel is here on this whole thing.
Definitely not out of the woods yet though.

Then their account should be terminated with the team.I thought the camera man was an independent contractor?
