I expect that BB or Kraft will be suspended. Maybe both. They will take all of our picks from rounnds 1 to 4 from the draft.

What young/elite players have the Patriots ever had, besides Tom Brady? Brady wasn’t even elite in his younger years.

How many superbowls, Winning season have they had without the young elite players?

You should do something about that permanent HARD ON you have for other teams players.

Brady was elite from 2002 onward

Focused on what "one thing"?

The sideline is a large entity, so having a camera generally panned over it (perhaps not even being actively operated, moved, etc) is entirely innocuous.
Yes, but...

What do you need 8 minutes of sideline B-roll for? (And it would have been more than 8 minutes if they hadn’t been discovered, remember.) It’s not like this is a 5 hour documentary they were producing.

Interesting how this controversy is reported by BSPN a day after the Patriots get hosed by NFL officials and a dysfunctional review process. That embarrassment sure went away fast.

Well see. Remember during spy gate the tapes were destroyed apparently. People were pissed. Maybe the league will give the people what they want this time.

Eh, for the Patriots haters, it won’t matter if the footage is released. They’ll just claim the league is withholding the really damaging footage.

It’s the same thing with the tapes from 2007. The NFL could have made those available online for anyone to see any time and people still wouldn’t have been satisfied. Meanwhile, the league doesn’t release evidence from their investigations into other teams and no one thinks that’s unusual.

The 1st round of the draft for NE is like the first month of the regular season. They take that round off to just **** around. Just like they do in January and February football, the team does it's best work in the later rounds.

The league thinking The Dynasty would miss that 1st round draft pick

If there was no look at downs and time, I can't see how you could correlate the signs with anything.

Good point. Thing is the league isn't going to give the Patriots the benefit of the doubt. Not after Spygate and Deflategate.

Would have been nice to get some work done today. LOL. Does this factor into Brady or BB staying here in NE? If it was me it certainly would. I wouldn't need unnecessary BS interfering with my game preparations. I know they are good at ignoring distractions but first the Krafty Handy, then the AB circus and now this??!!

Why would you record the worst team in football and try to gain a strategic advantage?

Are they really that desperate?

I'm glad this happening, maybe they can use it as a rallying cry. It's not the player's fault. They know damn well they've earned everything they've achieved.

Cheering for this team can be completely exhausting at times. Why would you not take every precaution to prevent this, they have to know theyre under the biggest of microscopes.

Spygate
Deflategate
Aaron Hernandez
Kraft rub n tug
Chung and Harmon Drug arrests
And now this

there is no team in pro sports that deals with more BS than this team. Its getting really difficult to continuously defend this organization.

Yeah, I'm not sure.

Be curious if the scout present was filmed, and what his understanding/explanation of the events is.

Will also be interested to get the explanation of the camera crew/contractors and what their work/creative process was.

He really needs to go.

His point is that for all we know they may have taped 30 minutes or the whole game if they hadn’t gotten discovered. You can’t attempt to minimize it by saying “they only taped 8 minutes” because they didn’t stop taping on their own.

It’s not like they stopped taping after 8 minutes, were packing things up, and then got challenged.

In any event, even if the league exonerates BB and football ops, there will be punishment to the team which will likely be a big fine and more loss of draft choices.
We simply don't know what happened almost everything on here is conjecture, but i agree that the SOP of goodell is a fine and loss of drft pick(s) if they find the slightest cintilla of evidence that they were purposely filming the bungles sideline to use in a game.

I feel fairly confident saying that if football operations genuinely had zero knowledge/involvement with this (which I believe to be true) and a punishment is levied that impacts football operations (such as the revocation of a draft pick), Belichick might just walk, and I can't blame him. That would be heinous.

Why wouldn't you just use a guy with a cell phone in the stands rather than an official cameraman in front of media and personnel from both teams? Because they're weren't actually spying. It was just film for a documentary.
