If the league lets this linger through the end of tomorrow, without any statement clarifying or further explaining the situation and circumstances, Belichick and/or Kraft should hold a 5 PM news conference in which they vehemently defend themselves and attack the league for their silence (and what the implication/purpose of that silence is).

Someone with access to the Bengals-Browns game on Game Rewind, can you watch the game and tell us if you see any signals from the Bengals coaching staff?

Is it a problem that Jim McNally was manning the camera?

Why are we filming for another DYJ? There is no way we are winning a Super Bowl.
How do you know?
They were in a similar situation last year.
It's unlikely, but not impossible.
We heard this crud every year they won a SB.

No offense but, If anyone in this league can overcome this,, it's TB and Co.

They are NOT OUT yet!

BTW, F' the Bungles and especially the media.
Probably just a distraction from the 5h!t show officiating we saw last night.

I'm sure the patriots are so tone deaf and so ignorant to rules that they would break a rule that they have already skirted on before just to beat a team with 12 loses.

I'm sure bill Imus just such a low class respect for his brothern that he just keeps pushing the realm of acceptable behavior.

This is why ESPN is dead and barstool is thriving.

CBS Sports site still going with the "nothing to see here" angle. The only related story on their front page says "False alarm: Here's why Patriots had film crew at Bengals game".

Remember when the Colts’ crowd noise skipped? The NFL made a statement refuting it within a couple of hours. There’s no doubt the NFL is at the very least deliberately letting this linger.
And that is why I HATE THEM.

Perhaps I'm being overly cynical, but it seems too convenient for this to occur the way it has following the officiating debacle yesterday.

Not only does the NFL shift the discussion from the tragic officiating, but they are able to (yet again) portray the Pats as suspicious/dubious.

Had the Pats not been victims of the officials yesterday, would this story still have been handled/reported in the way it has been, from the league down through ESPN et al.?

The league has the ability to clarify the situation and they have chosen not to, so I interpret their silence as an intentional act for the purpose of allowing ambiguity and uncertainty to linger, effectively enabling the ESPN-related gossip to thrive and gain traction.

I wish I had saved the basic post I am putting here that I have posted numerous times. If the FBI were to raid all NFL teams and the NFL offices for electronic and other files it would be earth shattering. It would end the league.

NFL looks at video of the Cincy sideline:

Sees Bengal's cheerleaders.

First of all, it's an absolute joke to think one ounce of info could be gleaned from filming a sideline these days.

Sending signals, other than digitally and through mics and helmet went the way of the dinosaur.

That hasn't been done for like 15 yrs.
..unless they have cams that read through play sheets!!

Actually, that's not what Belichick said on WEEI today. He said that the call is radioed in but then adjustments are made via hand signals, especially after the radios cut off with 15 seconds left on the play clock.

So whoever this Tom Leyden guy is, he's a complete idiot. The SCOUT wasn't filming anything He was the subject of the documentary.

The point of all that? We don't know what's on that SD card. You don't know. I don't know. What we do know is Belichick said he knows scouts taping opponents is illegal, so if there IS something on the card that's inappropriate, acknowledgment has been made. SD card won't lie

.

If Belichick were guilty, he would have just said "we are cooperating with the NFL" and nothing further on the matter.

So the Pats are going to process a hand signal on tape and radio it to our defense in 15 sec. to counter their play call?

Jeez.

Schefter will be talking about this at halftime of MNF. Might not have anything new to say but we’ll see.
