They were not spying then and they are not spying now.

"Spying" involves subterfuge and cloaking.

Both times they were FILMING in broad daylight, wearing Patriots or Kraft Productions insignia, in public, rubbing elbows with personnel from the team in question of being "spied upon".

The word "spying" is completely and utterly incorrect in these instances.

Yup. Belichick did it because he interpreted the memo his own way. He didn’t check with the league which I believe he admits now he should have done.

If the Dianna Russini report is true, then the Pats are in big trouble...hopefully a nothing burger.

My god, of there is any truth to this BB is done. Given their history, the sheer stupidity of taping the Bengals coaches, just the optics of it, would be unimaginable. There aren’t even signals to steal! Everything is done by radio....

Not only that the memo came out in 2006, two years after the super bowl 39. The league bylaws specifically said you can't video tape and use it in the SAME game.

The press box is behind the visitors bench there so were they taping the backs of the Bengals coaches? Would be odd.

I don't know about y'all, but I think I'm gonna just go watch that Richard Jewell movie right now........

I’m just glad it wasn’t the Ravens. The outrage would be scorching hot if it was.

Since it’s the Bengals I’m getting the sense that the perception is this is a joke. That will help the Pats.
