top 5 regular season losses you remember

This one too recent to know where it will end up, tho it will be in the list for sure.

1. Denver 2015
2. 4th and 2
3. On to Cincinatti
4. 2012 Ravens game, replacement refs ruled a missed FG good for them to win the game and refused to review the play. BB got fined for touching a ref and was kinda the tipping point for everyone to say "OK we need the refs back NOW"
5. Carolina Gronk mugging

Other ones I remember stinging were the 2014 loss in GB, 2012 Arizona loss, and of course the Miami Miracle last year

The next one.

Our lists should all be similar, so few games to choose from.

There are lots in this era. In no order

4th and 2
31-0 Bills
The opener in 2017
The first Rams game in 2001
Wildcat game

Also worth mentioning:
Chargers blowout loss in 08.
Ravens game this year
Colts blowout loss in 05
Saints blowout loss in 09
Peyton Hillis game
Loss in Seattle in 2012- U mad bro?

Yeah, the you mad bro game is up there, because we had a 23-10 lead, but it just seemed like we had left too many points on the field. And then they win on a bomb at the end. I believe that is also the year Seahawks won the SB.

Ravens won that year. That intentional grounding through the end zone was bizarre, I’ve never seen that call ever made in all my years watching.

Pittsburg 04 on Halloween

How about....

“Which victories & losses affected you the most EMOTIONALLY?” And did you call in sick because of it? :D:D

1. at Denver 2015 (numerous holds on Denver not called, Gronk flagged for OPI multiple times when he was the one being held, etc)
2. vs Kansas City 2019 (Kelce OPI and subsequent ball spot, Gilmore fumble recovery, Harry TD ruled out of bounds, Dorsett DPI)
3. at Carolina 2013 (Gronk mugging by Kuechly)
4. at Indianapolis 2009 (4th and 2)
5. at Kansas City 2014 (We're onto Cincinnati)

HM: at Miami 2018 (Miami Miracle), at Pittsburgh 2004

The top 2 in particular were blatant fixes lets not sugar coat it.

4th and 2 and the home game vs Philadelphia and Sam Bradford in 2015... Was my son's first game with me...
Did you tell Black Cloud Jr. that the Patriots suck? Must have been a proud moment for you.

Oh boy. They don't lose often so some of them really stick out.

1. The 4th and 2 game in Indy. I still think it can be argued that Faulk got the 1st down.

2. The 2004 loss at Miami where Brady was falling to the ground and chucked it up for an INT. Would've been 15-1 that year just like the Steelers (they held the tie-break though after beating NE)

3. Denver 2015. That game's officiating was just as bad as Sunday's against KC.

4. Buffalo in 2011 in week 3. I think Brady threw 4 INTs in that one, still only lost by 3.

5. The Eagles game in 2015. That was some kind of implosion. Almost came back and it fell just short.

2) season finale loss in a strike season, in Denver--Doug Flutie brought the team that had been written off to the brink of the pay offs, they got up in Denver where they never won, and ended up losing I believe 21-10. They had a chance to cut it to 14-13 late third/early fourth, and the coach elected to go for it on 4th and goal from several yards out. We were stopped, and somehow I felt that was our last gasp. I don't recall the year but I want to say it was around 1982 or 83 (I could look it up).
December 17, 1988.

The strike was the previous season.

We were rolling, but Berry benched Flutie for Eason with two games to play.

Once again, death to our season.

Behind a top defense and young, healthy rookie Stephens, we beat several contenders.

What a waste.

No I told him he's very fortunate that his family has the means to attend a Patriots game, sitting in good seats...but thanks for asking

That's right, I forgot they brought Eason back. I guess that means we were 9-6, and would go in at 10-6. I'll need to look it up.

Sunday was bad. But as bad as the officiating was, it probably doesn't matter for post season seeding.

1. The 2015 Denver game. I'm convinced it gave Denver the Super Bowl and cost the Pats HFA.

2. Against the 9ers in 2012. The Pats were on a roll that year, and the 9ers were a strong team. But they fumbled like 8 times or something, and the team just made too many mistakes despite their comeback.

3. 2004@Pitt -- it broke the streak. Nuff said.

4. 2015 @ Miami - The most frustrating part of this was it just seems like the absolute worst coached game of Belichick's career. They needed to win for the 1 seed, Miami was pretty damn bad that year, and they seemed to place 0 priority on winning the game, giving Steven Jackson and Branden Bolden a combined 23 carries. I get it, you need to see what the broken run game can do in the playoffs. But why not mix that with actually trying to win the game? This was a very winnable game that it just seemed like Belichick didn't even care about.

5. 2012@Arizona -- This one pissed me off more than it should have. Arizona wasn't great, and the Pats lost on some pretty alarmingly bad officiating on the last drive.

This moronic thread needs to DIE!

The refs took a game away from us (sound familiar?) at the Hoosier Dome on November 27. The Colts went to the playoffs instead of us on a tiebreaker.

We would have lost again in the playoffs anyway, with Eason starting. As usual, our only chance was if he got injured.

I have 4 that stand out.

The 31 - 0 opening day loss in Buffalo, 2003. I was there. Sam Adams intercepted Brady for the pick 6 right in front of my seats.

The 2012 Sunday night loss to Baltimore with all the inconsistent PI calls and non-calls. The fail Mary happened the next night, I believe. Most angry I have ever been at an officiating crew.

The Miami 2004 game. After that, I spent the next 2 years muttering "I f***ink hate Wes Welker" every time he touched a football.

KC, 2014. I was convinced that Brady had reached the cliff.

Fourth and 2 has to be 1 or 2 on most people's list.

It seems time has started to heal this wound, but let's bring us back to that point.

BB and TB lost a big lead and a very winnable game to their arch nemisis, Peyton Manning, in the last minute of the game.

As if that wasn't bad enough, BB made an unconventional call (going for 4th and 2) that didn't work and gave fodder to the talking heads that filled the air waves that week (and still somewhat live on today). For the record I still think that was the right call.

I believe at the time we still had a chance at a bye week but this hurt our chances.

Losing is bad, losing a lead in the last minute is worse, doing all of the above to your arch rival is the worst.
