Another poster said it wasn't reviewed because (according to him) booth-initiated reviews only happen in the final two minutes. I expressed my understanding that that is not the case, that booth reviews are the only kind of review that can happen in the final two minutes, but that they can also happen at other times.

I also gave the example of last week's game when O'Brien called a timeout to get the booth to initiate a review, which they did; my recollection is that that play did not happen during the final two minutes of either half, but I could be wrong.
you are wrong

No matter what happens this year, I hope the Pats focus next year on building a huge and physical offensive line with a dominant running game.

At the end of the day the Pats lost, but even if they won ,the best they could have done is the 2 seed which they still have a shot at. It's the way they lost that's worrisome.
There are some positives

Great D the 2nd 1/2.
Didn't give up.
Made it close and the Queefs tried to stop us.
Ref calls in the 2nd 1/2 were game-changers. Might have made a difference

We lost but it's not like we got rolled over 41-14

The ravens still have 3 games to play. One against a team that already beat them.
The best the patriots can do, even with this loss is a 1 seed.
Buffalo would have beaten Baltimore today if they had any kind of an offense.
They still have to play at Cleveland who beat them in Baltimore and vs division rival Pitt. Sure they will be favored but those games still have to be played.

The 2013 offense wins this game today

No they don't. They had a game robbed from them as well. And they had Gronk. In fact, it was picked-up flag on what should've been PI against Kuechly (sp) covering Gronk. And that was one call, not like, 4.

At halftime I was embarrassed, by the end of the game I was inspired. They showed true grit. This game may end up being a godsend
This year’s Pittsburgh. Everyone will ridicule it until it happens, and there is no guarantee it will. But the team is competing hard. They need to find their stride the next 3 weeks.

Funny how that happened in another loss to the Chiefs after which they were “on to Cincinnati”!

incredible...and yes it did make a difference even though they got a 1st down later on..It would have been 1st and goal from the 4
Of course it made a difference. But we cannot control that. A bigger problem is that when we need a TD or. 2 point conversion we go to our only productive offensive players and come away with nothing. We lack playmakers. That’s why we signed Gordon and AB. They didn’t work out, but the need persists.

The “booth”:
* MUST review all plays ruled turnovers or scores on the field.
* MUST review all plays that coaches challenge.
* MAY, in the final 2:00 of a half, choose to review any play.

When a play is reviewed there is ZERO decision-making done by the on-field officials. The sole decision-maker is the NYC replay office (really just Al Riveron).

I know the homers will get pissy but Sony Michel is trash. The coaching staff obviously knows that when for the second week in a row he gets yanked early. I’m glad when I see White in the game over him.

The Patriots will trade down to the second round and draft the worst available cornerback.

Keep dreaming . I can’t stand the ravens but they’re the best team in the afc right now. They’re winning out. Maybe they drop one game.

I'm encouraged by the fight in the second half. I think there's still a pulse in this team. We desperately need the 2nd seed. Baltimore will be 1st seed but if we can get a bye and get healthy, we should have a shot. Anything can still happen.

It was the same non PI call against Hopkins a few weeks ago. Identical interference and no call.

Then what does that make Damien Harris?

True, however a loss is a loss, we always say no moral victories over here.
Those non calls/ calls were atrocious however I wish we didn't leave it till the 4th quarter to try and mount a comeback. We still have O issues and I am most mad at the management for this travesty .

with an aging QB who could still be very good if he had the time, you would think this would have been a priority starting a few years ago..not to mention a decent WR or 2

I will never forget the garbage officiating that game. And it got me to notice that Kuechly can't effectively cover anyone without committing PI.

This board lives on extrapolating what didn’t work today into why the team can’t win in the future. pointing out positives isn’t a moral victory.

I’m just hoping NE somehow manages to borrow a page from the ‘69 Celtics.
