Official Post Game Thread - Chiefs Beat the Pats

Next week and beyond we need to sit Michel. He has no instincts and this line sucks. Rotate the other 2 RBs and use the short passing game instead of the running game. Maybe use bolden on short yardage? I agree we are low on talent but the gameplans have been bad and that's on OC and Brady.

People getting on them for throwing to Edelman in the red zone are bizarre. He and White are by far their best players and the Chiefs were bringing the house. Edelman needed to win one on one. He didn't because Breeland played him perfectly, but anything less than perfect and it's a touchdown.

@mellhorn we aren’t getting the number one seed. Baltimore is not going to lose again. So the loss was meaningless. Our offense is anemic. We are going to need to beat Baltimore on the road. What part of my post do you disagree with. That goes for you too @QuantumMechanic. So you think if we won we would get the one seed? Wrong. You think there is an offense in the leagues worse than ours? Did you see what Denver did with a rookie qb to Houston? And you think we won’t have to beat Baltimore on the road? Maybe we aren’t the worst offense but that’s why you can’t handle my post?

The snap counts will be interesting to see. Seems like they bailed out on Michel early. They don’t seem to have a lot of confidence in him at this point.

I dont even get why they attempt to power run at this point.

If you dont have trust in a traditional running game then dont waste 1-2 drives on it.

Or alternatively give it more time and try to ride it out. Just stop half assing things.

He flat out let it go through his arms. The pass was fine. Meyers is dropping a fair amout of passes.

No that pass was not fine lol. That pass was at his feet. Myers should have caught it. Brady should have thrown a better pass.

So we gotta win out to maintain a 1st round bye. A win today would've essentially clinched that.

Shame on the officials, shame on this team.

On paper they should win out, but Buffalo is darn good, and Cincy and Miami aren't as terrible as they were 4 weeks ago. Don't expect it will be easy, so the team better get up for more than just the Buffalo game.

Why "shame on this team"?

Not saying we didn't get ****ed by the refs even though its not why we lost, but I find it funny how everyone is crying about the refs but told the cowboys to **** off and that bad calls are just a part of the game and that their offense shouldve done more.

Just saying.

This game was meaningless. We aren’t getting the one seed. We proved despite having one of the worst offenses in the league. It takes the refs to get us beat by kc at home. It’s going to come down to whether we can beat Baltimore on the road.

Stop making excuses for the refs. It is THE story.

One thing I do find odd is the use of LaCosse as essentially a wide receiver. Watson is old and slow but still blocks well and using him as a semi-2018 Gronk who just blocks most of the time but can occasionally threaten the seam and some dumpoffs seems like it would be a lot better given the state of the offensive line than using LaCosse as a slot receiver or whatever.
Match ups. Why ive been screaming for McDouche's head for last week.

Good news is that because of the success of the team the last two decades, it is guaranteed to go to the SB and maybe even win it.

It doesn't matter how good or bad the OL or WR or TE or D is, because the last two decades shows anything is possible.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I’ll have to look at it again but my memory is he didn’t put much effort into going after the ball. If you fight for the catch you are more likely to get the call.

If you think he should have worked through that then I assume you had a similar opinion about Gronk and Kuechly in 2013.

He makes them too one dimensional and the line and he aren't good enough to just line up and run people over

Well not a great throw, it was low. Meyers should have come up with it. But with better protection the throw would likely have been better.

Totally different play

He got hugged but Dorsett can't exactly win a 50/50 b/c he is smallish

A lot of heart and fight but no talent on offense

We draft Nkeal Harry while AJ Brown goes 5 catches for 153 and 2 TD

Yes we get it. A week ago it was Deebo Samuel. Before that it was DK metcalf.
At this point who knows what will become of Harry but I do believe missing 2 months of the start of your rookie season is a major obstacle to overcome.

Watching this game with my daughter (who is so into football at age 10 its pretty funny) she asked me if we would win during that last drive. I said most any other year I would say absolutely yes because Brady but this year I wasn’t quite sure. Sure enough we came up just short. It feels like an encapsulation of the season so far.
It's been a hell of a struggle for sure. Don't like hearing Harry maybe got hurt. If he and Sanu get healthy and contribute just a little this team can still win. Biggest concern to me is Mason tbh
