This is adorable.

No, he's a natural enemy.

It's hilarious how Disney has literally spent $1 billion making Star Wars movies and the best thing they've come up with came out of a direct-to-streaming TV show.

It’s even better that they had to bring in Lucas just to stop the new one from being a steaming pile of crap.

Mod Edited For Spoiler:
I read that audience members were laughing hysterically watching the first cut in which Rey, who has never been tested and is apparently invincible, takes apart Palpatine with ease.

Considering how BAD 'the last jedi' was... yeah they needed to pull out all the stops to reform the image of the franchise. And bringing back the original creator for some input, well duh that has to help, right?

But yeah, baby Yoda is adorable. Disney is gonna make millions selling merchandise if they handle this right.

Thanks for putting [Humor] in the thread title otherwise I might’ve thought this was a serious discussion of Baby Yoda’s football loyalties.

Why is everyone calling it “baby Yoda?’ The Mandalorian takes place 5 years after Return of the Jedi.

Thanks for setting the record straight, Captain Pedantry.

It can't be that it's easier to say 'Baby Yoda' than saying 'Baby Thing That is The Same Species as Yoda but is a Separate Character.'

Nah, we're all confused and need Star Wars Wikipedians like yourself to set the record straight.

Rock on, Fnord!! :D

40 years ago, Lucas vowed never to be a sellout and funded ESB and ROTJ himself, with the proceedings from ANH. He was the last filmmaker ever to secure merchandising rights to 100% of everything related to his films (studios have ever since retained that right, because back theen they had no idea how valuable merchandising was).

All of this made him a billionaire several times over. Yet he sold out, in the end.

So this is 100% on him.

Disney isn't a film company, it's a corporation. The bottom line is money, not whether you like their movies or not. It's why they keep redoing "Frozen," "Aladdin," and "Beauty and the Beast" it's all part of their ******** 'risk-adverse business model.'
