How bout we just cut Kraft :D

There’s no comparison of last year to this year even though people keep bringing it up. Look at last year look at this.

You are committing the cardinal sin of comparing last year's finished product with the current state of the team. People wanted to blow up the team and trade away assets last year after the loss against Detroit.

Some called the defense that carried the team to the SB victory garbage in December, around the same time Gronk was referred to as "toast" and "useless" before he saved us twice with big receptions in the AFCCG and our running game was a weakness and only worked on the bottom feeders before we took apart the Chargers.

The beautiful thing about this board is you can easily go and check out the emotion people had after said game in Pittsburgh and you will realize that nothing ever changes.

Adversity hits and the dynasty is over. Every year since the beginning of this run.

The defense got better at the end of the year. It’s not about the defense this year. I still trust our defense this year. It’s about the offense. Can this offense muster up some consistency. Can you honestly tell me with a straight face that the offense will get turned around? I hope they do turn it around but i see a lot of miscommunication and guys just not getting open.

I bet it was glorious.

You're making me want to search this forum for those posts.

I can tell you with an absolute straight face that I have uttermost trust into this coaching staff to get the most of out of them. Whether that results in a title or not is impossible to tell due to the inherent randomness in the game of football.

If Dee Ford doesn't line up offsides all the narratives about last years post season are washed away. Just like that. Same can be said about the Ram's SB berth and the PI situation in NO. It often comes down to 4-5 moments in a game and whoever is ahead in those will win the game.

But I can tell you that there is nobody I trust more to do whatever is necessary to make them competitive than our coaching staff. They have build up so much good will over the last two decades that I see no reason to assume this team will stay at this status quo for the next 4 weeks.

What does being in the final 4 have anything to do with beating Buffalo? And it's not like you were posting here last year. Another bandwagoner like questfor7homie.
Errr you said you aren’t like fans who think the patriots will win every year, you know better. Obviously you don’t.

so you think that only people who post on this site are fans and no one was a fan before they started posting here? You don’t really believe that do you?

And no response to my comment that I’m sure you had them one snd don’t last year?

see that proves you know nothing, unlike the fans who are confident the team that always wins will win.

I'm sure the cool, calm, and collected individuals who post here were rational and took things in stride when the team was getting pounded mercilessly by the likes of Tennessee and Detroit, and lost games to the Dolphins and Jaguars.

I'm sure everyone was talking about how good that team was and how they would definitely win SB53 by holding one of the top offenses in the league to only 3 points, despite giving up 34 to Tennessee.
I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. Is it your position that forum posters aren't entitled to offer their opinions on the struggles of the offense because they struggled worse last season and won the SB anyway?

You do remember 2007 right? Last year has nothing to do with this year. Being 10-2 doesn't win you anything. Nobody is writing the team off, but they have obvious issues, to anyone with a set of eyeballs and grey matter above that of a dog.

Why don't you tell us how you see things playing out with the existing offense without comparing it to what happened last year smooth shoes.

Try again in English, please.

He's a bandwagoner who joined the forum a few months ago and is acting like he's this calm, cool, and collected Pats fan while the rest of us who are reasonably pointing out issues with the team are fake. In his view, if you aren't 100% confident the team will win the SB then you are not a real fan. And he doesn't remember 2007 because he's a recent fan.

Wow one typo on “one and done” and you put your tail between your legs like that?

No, your whole post makes no sense.

We have to believe/hope that the coaches can turn things around and gets the best out of what we have.:confused:

There's been times on the forum the day after a win and you'd swear the team lost the game.

Are you into self-torture?

Thank you.

I remember when this thread was about Kansas City...

You just have to check out the first page and you will see how the sentiment has been the same. Of course now due to them winning the SB all of this has been retroactively adjusted into some rose tinted view of how last years team clearly looked better and this time it is different:

Post Game Thread - Pats @ Steelers

Hell I am sure we can go back another year to the December Dolphins MNF game that we lost in spectacular fashion and you will hear the very same sentiments again.

It really is always the same story.

Good luck this week guys. My Chiefs fan assessment.

The good:

Our defense is noticeably improved. We are not a good defense yet, but we are better. Spags is a much better game coach than Sutton was and we actually get some stops occasionally.

We are getting healthyish. We have had a lot of injuries to key people. Tyreek, Mahomes, Fisher, Clark, Chris Jones, Fuller, all have missed some key games. We aren't 100 percent yet and we don't seem in mid season form, but at least we are better. I don't remember a more injury filled year.

Mahomes has generally been good again when healthy. Hardman, Kelce and Hill are a matchup problem for just about anyone. Watkins has not played well lately, but he's also a weapon you have to account for.

The bad:

We miss Kareem Hunt. We do not have anyone that can get a yard when you really need it. Shady is not what he once was and he fumbles at bad times. Williams has been our starter and he's hurt. I hate going to Gillette so one dimensional as Mr. B is pretty good at taking care of one dimensional teams.

Our line has been injured and bad in general. Mahomes has been hurt and not had the time to do what he can do. He has made some uncharacteristically bad decisions the past couple games which has been the result of being under a lot of duress. Our running game has been poor.

While the defense has been better, we still struggle. And we struggle against the run.

We really **** the bed a couple of times. Especially the Titans game. There's really no excuse for that one. Reid is generally a good coach and can be brilliant in his play calling. And sometimes he steps all over his ****. We should be competing for a bye, realistically we are playing for the 3 seed.

Until we, or anyone, beats you at home, I'd have to say you are the favorite. It should be a competitive game either way. Hopefully nobody gets hurt and we see you again in the playoffs.
