To Everyone Blaming Brady

The Harry pick looks like a bad one at this point. And I was a huge fan of his. Should’ve taken DK Metcalf, he’s explosive with great size AND speed. 38 catches, 630 yards and 5 TD catches, averaging 16.6 yards per catch. Two mistakes by Belichick, Michel over Chubb and Harry over Metcalf.

3 mistakes really, trading up for DB SlowJuan (benchwarmer) Williams In the 2nd round, instead of taking a WR & TE by staying put in the 2nd round. WRs Mecole Hardman and DK Metcalf were taken in the slots the Pats had in the 2nd round. 4 mistakes, don’t have a 2nd round pick in 2020 because we traded it for Mohamed (waste of a pick) Sanu.

Patriots have been AWFUL at drafting since 2015

Recievers are better than 2013

1. 2013 had a much better offensive line

2. 2013 had Blount, White, Vereen as backs who caused much more damage than this power running Corp we supposedly have

3. Gronk player a huge chunk of 2013

4. 3 of our top 5 backs in 2013 weren’t two rookies and a mid season trade

Michel is playing with no explosion the explosiveness he had is all but gone this season.
Brady absolutely should of been at OTAs with Rookie receivers.
I don’t care if it was preseason Stidham and Meyers were on the same page constantly because they worked together.
Tom should of taken both these WRS under his wing and been there to teach them what he wants and expects.
They are not on the same page at all.
We have squandered draft picks all over the place.
We need to hit big In the next draft.
This is the worst I’ve ever seen Tom play and something needs to be fixed.
This falls on McDaniels and Judge as much as Brady.
Maybe Bill needs to get involved with the offense this week.

White came aboard in 2014. And 2013 was a similar situation with wrs, we had 3 rookies, Amendola in his first year and midseason pickups like Austin Collie to play important role down the stretch.

Dorsett was doing good first several games but has tapered off. That leaves just Edelman as a veteran WR. Harry and Meyers just aren’t gonna cut it and neither is Sanu right now. TB has very little to work with and it is contributing to his looking bad.

For years McDaniels and Brady have been making chicken salad out of chicken crap, usually with pretty good results..

This year is a different story, Brady's skills have slowly been declining, he is not who he used to be..

Sanu is coming back after a two seek hiatus for a "high ankle sprain"..

Dorsett is coming back after being concussed ( everyone responds differently)

Where is Watson??

Give up on Harry after one pass attempt??

#12 throwing into double coverage..

Meyers is who he is, signs of potential, but has been overachieving for a UDFA.. he will get better.

No hurry up offense last night??

In the past McDaniel's game plans have found ways to disguise the Pats deficiencies, not so much this year.. have the opposing D's figure that out?? Never discount the retirement of Gronk..

Offensively this team looks predictable.. need to mix it up.

He's been terrible the last 2 months. Personel is **** but the Texans don't have a great defense yet we could only score three points. Unacceptable...we get nothing at tight end. I love BB but he built a garbage offense. Tons of jags..

1. 2013 had a much better offensive line

I am not sure that "Solder, Mankins, Wendell, Connolly, Cannon (Vollmer went to IR early)" is much better than "Wynn, Thuney, Karras, Mason, Cannon".

2. 2013 had Blount, White, Vereen as backs who caused much more damage than this power running Corp we supposedly have

Vereen broke his hand during the opener against Buffalo and missed the first half of the season, White wasn't drafted until a year later.

3. Gronk player a huge chunk of 2013

Gronk played 6 full games out of 18.

People really need to watch the game film. There is no one open anywhere. Listen to the commentators and they will also tell you that no one is open. The few times that he tries to fit it in for a contested catch, it resulted in an int. We need more crossing routes to free up our wrs because they can’t do it my themselves. The times out wrs got open, Brady found them.

This times 1000

Ummm...Myers was at OTAs, Dorsett was at OTAs, Harry was at OTAs, the ****ing quarterback w all the answers to the test WAS NOT
What?? Do they give out magic pills at OTA?! So if Brady had been at OTA’s pats offense would be clicking on all cylinders right now? Had no idea they were THAT valuable!

Gordon didn’t have otas, Sanu didn’t either and they both got thrown into the fire and produced until they got hurt. There is no helping when the qb tells you to go deep but the wr does the opposite, or when the qb tells you to do a double move but you do an in route.

Wow. Get JAG dorsett out of foxboro as soon as possible! Offering him an extension was crazy!

Could Dorsett see the signal or was White inadvertently in the way?

Have a freakin’ meeting between the receivers and Brady and JD and straighten it out.

Well, I haven’t watched the A22, but if the commentators are right, that’s on Joe Judge and Nick Caley too. Why can’t their receivers get separation? Is it the playcalling, route running, or what? Too much thinking or not enough?

But it’s also on Brady. Last night he missed receivers who had a step: Dorsett in the end zone, Jules twice, Meyers in the seam once. He doesn’t get off because Dorsett makes a mistake. That’s not leadership.

For all the discussion on how bad the WR situation is, and it is bad, they have 3 TEs on the roster whose combined talent (at least in the receiving game) is roughly half of a garden variety TE2. Outside of about one reception per game by Watson, the position is a complete black hole.

Eric Bedard mentioned this. That it's time BB gets more involved with this offense. I don't know what that looks like though. Like BB's background has been all about defense. Regardless, it can't hurt
