I used to look forward to Bedard on 98.5...

Can someone remind me who the Patsfans dot com approved media figures are
Just for the record, we don't have an approved list.

He was super informative and insightful.

Today, and more recently, he is way more negative (and even nasty) about the 10-1 Pats than EITHER Felger OR Mazz.

WTH happened... you know what, I don’t care... I’m turning it off. And I’m done with him.

just another reason I would never pay to read anything from his site.

I have found on this forum anyone daring to say anything critical about any players or management gets crucified. It's become worse of late.

Nah, just rightfully happens when a poster says the Pats can’t win anything without AB...and repeats the nonsense 100 different times.

Fauria gets on Bedard a lot for misinterpreting what's hes looking at, Faurias a clown but I trust him more than Bedard.

well, you should. Fauria PLAYED football on all levels. I played football into my university years, as well as baseball, basketball, tennis and lacrosse.Bedard played BASEBALL primarily in high school...that and GOLF. Split his youth between Mass and Boca Raton. He's an entitled little rich kid grown into a corpulent know-it-all that's weaseled his way into the NFL landscape around here.
I do not like Bedard because of the shots he took at our fanbase as he was coming up. The reason why is he's an elitist born and bred. At this point in my life, if I want cogent analysis that's Patriots related I read Ken or BaconGC to get at the meat of present situation. When Rob posted regularly and Box was still alive I looked forward to their analysis. Hell,I even held a press pass and wrote online for 6 or 7 years back in the internet's infancy. I remember bullshyting with Curran on occasion at Murphy's deli in Providence along with Jim Donaldson, a real arrogant know-it-all. The thing is, Donaldson DID know it all. Bedard is just a Peter Principle newgen sports "personality" who managed to navigate the Circus Blabberus that Boston sports media has morphed into the past decade into a position on major area shows. NFL pundit? Give me a freakin' break.

and I apologize Greg, if you happen to read this but I just have a thing for bigmouth interlopers like your best buddy Felcher, that lack the guts to run his mouth in the stands like he does on the radio with his puppet, Mazzanocchio.

Well I might disagree with some of what you wrote, I can't hate a man who can use "corpulent" in a sentence. ;)

I KNOW corpulence personally...:(

I agree with Joker. In addition to Ken and BaconGC, there are some good draft guys on Patsfans plus CLNS for analysis. The All22 thread is always great.

@Deus and @Ken - I don't know if you listened today to Bedard on 98.5, I sometimes tune in Tuesdays to listen to him. He used to be independent but has become more and more "one of the gang". His raised voice faux outrage is especially irritating. He has drifted over time, less analysis and more grumpy "unsubstantiated" criticism. Fans do not mind criticism if there is a reasonable explanation. There is less analysis with Bedard these days, and more emotion which is why I say he has drifted.

Who has not drifted over time? Who can avoid drifting? BB and Joker spring to mind :D

Have pretty much given up on Sportstalk radio and their need to gin up controversy over anything.. the only time I usually listen is on the day after a Pats game, particularly Zo who gives a pretty good analysis of what we have just seen..

Other that than Sportstalk radio has pretty much hit the crapper mired in a need to be controversial instead of informative..

I can find Brady's and BB's comments elsewhere rather than waiting for them while listening to inane self aggrandizing discussions..

I have a hard time listening to these tools any more. Listening to skip and Shannon on Monday’s is my quota of aggravation for the week

What, no baseball bat and smashed in face reference? Talk about corpulent.

You should, and start with Erin Andrews, mostly because she’s a Pats fan. And she’s not corpulent.

The only national mouthpiece I'll try to catch is Colin Cowherd. I won't catch him live but I'll watch his opener on YouTube.

He’s not bad. I’ll listen to him once in a while.

Bedard definitely had his cheerios peed in yesterday. I like Zo and Bertrand, and I confess to leaving it on Felger & Mazz. Don't judge...

Bedard is ok, the problem is he makes a lot of assumptions about what he is watching on the all 22. Sometimes you can easily tell what the players responsibility is, but many times it's hard without knowing the call.

Yeah, he’s marginally ok. Smiles a lot, pleasant with his hawt takes and will own his wrongness but moves on quickly and talks over a lot of guests. Loooooves the sound of his own voice.

I find his takes a bit more well thought out. He can be annoying but not as bad as the other clowns

God he loves his voice. With the pauses between sentences...
