How Can the Pats Stop the Ravens?

Jimmy G please do us a favor on Sunday.

Why? Just so the media can continue ballwashing Jimmy, stating that he WAS better than Brady and could do what Brady couldn't, while also continuing the narrative that the 49ers are the best team in the NFL?

The best outcome for that game is a tie.

You can’t stop the Ravens.
You can only hope to contain them.

Who cares ?

Now? No. There is still something gimmiky about the BAL offense to me but there is no denying their success.
It worked in San Francisco for a while ... The ravens o is based off of what kaepernick used to run

The answer lies in the offense hands.

don't see our defense stopping LJ at all however our offense can keep him off the field. But in this case our offense needs to improve dramatically and not go 3 and out anymore.

You have to shorten the game as much as possible and try to win it on limited possessions.

At all, really?

every player is a ticking time bomb for injury. It's football everyone can get injured anytime.

Oh please. So a run first QB isn’t more likely to get injured compared to a pocket passer?

...and teams caught up. Namely a historic D like the 2013 SEA

He ran the ball 8 times last night and slid or got out of bounds on almost all of them...

Jackson must go down....and he must go down hard.
That’s the only way I see it.

Crushing everyone in their path via the running game in this era is damn impressive.
Ravens have only been getting better each week

Ravens center went down last night

Maybe SF can rattle some teeth and bones next week.
Bills and Browns have stout fronts to cause some pain
Pitt and Baltimore typically go to war

Have to admit, I enjoy this brand of football vs watching inept pocket passers in most games.
Baltimore’s D is no slouch either. I see no space for opposing pass catchers.

Lastly, Jackson looks incredibly durable unlike other great running QBs like Mike Vick who looked like he would snap in half

Clear favorites in my book but hoping SF can solve the puzzle and provide a blue print

Then there is the LA Rams..... as unBelichikian a team as there ever was.
Handing out whopper contracts to a RB and DL....and a QB who was so far over valued when you consider the star RB was the driver of the offense pre injury.
Cardinal sin over-signings.... at least in Hoodies mind.
When Dak signs in Dallas, we will
see more of the same. Likely in KC as well once MyHomie gets his mega deal.

Bill the Economist has a far different vision of roster building

He's a smart runner. He avoids contact, and knows when to go to ground or out of bounds.

Doesn't have the same reckless, Urlacher juking style of running that Tom Brady has, but he's successful with it nonetheless...

Eh, it's not really comparable. That 49ers team had a much better defense than this Ravens team, and that Seahawks team had a much better offense than this Patriots team. And the Seahawks still needed a last second interception in the end zone...

Patriots' blueprint is more like Broncos vs Panthers in 2015.

I'm also liking what BAL is doing. It's fun and different.

I want them to die.:p

Referring to the D only

Odds are Jackson will be hurt by the playoffs anyways.
Not so much Jackson but their offensive line. They have been relatively free of injuries like some teams that have had to put together patchwork lines... and eventually it catches up to you and we'll see how effective it is when they have to put backups out there....

It'll be interesting to see how impactful losing Skura is. We know all to well how losing a C hurts the running game

Just wanted to know everyone's thoughts on how the Pats can beat the Ravens. Obviously, they are our biggest roadblock to SB 54...they look unreal right now, but I'd like to think Bill will come up with something in the rematch. Do we have anyone who can spy Jackson? Maybe Collins? Our Run D is ranked 10th in the league and they have a great running game. That could be a problem.
Play 5-2-4, always tackle the QB, double Andrews.
