Yes you can ask a question here. But don’t get mad when you get blasted for asking dumb questions.

I acknowledged everyone's responses about the various scenarios. I didn't think it was a dumb question or I wouldn't have asked.

There is no such thing as a dumb question.

Just dumb people asking questions.

It was a brain dead, stupid question that proves you know nothing about football. You deserve every bit of opprobrium you got for it (and more) because your whole trolling shtick has been what a Big Football Brain you are who knows so much more than the coaching and front office staff.

So when you expose yourself as a football idiot the irony is glorious. And hilarious.

"Big Football Brain"?! lol. I don't think claiming that that Brady contract situation was mishandled or that AB is good for the Pats requires a "big football brain". Neither of these opinions warrant a rigorous analytical analysis. Anyway, thanks for your opinion. I thought it was a reasonable question and I got many reasonable answers. The gist of it is that the Pats never expected there to be time on the clock at the end.

He's horrible.
But he didn't clap that much during the game. I felt he studied the media over the week and left that out of the game plan. Disappointing (;-))

While TE is just a giant wasteland that was not addressed properly I am still waiting for people to explain what they should have done more or differently at WR.

They tried to trade for Sanu before the draft, they picked a WR in the first round, they tried to rework the position with a mix of experienced vets and younger players. What else are they reasonably supposed to do ?

You’re right on the money IMO.

The problem isn’t at WR; it’s at tight end and fullback, with fullback being attributed to injuries. The Patriots are basically unable to mismatch personnel or disguise their run/pass with any effectiveness. Could this be solved at WR? Sort of...if you have such dominating receivers that the defense can’t stop your aerial attack anyway, but that’s very hard to do and usually gets shut down eventually. Antonio Brown would have helped a lot, though this is still trying to just be a better version of deficient offense. But now there’s such a heavy burden on the WRs that people are pointing fingers at the failures there. Personally I would like to see Harry and Meyers used in a handful of designed plays, especially inside the opponents 10 yard line, but outside of that they’re playing a very tough hand. I don’t know if they thought Gronk was coming back, but this has really put them in a really difficult situation on offense. There’s almost no versatility, the total opposite of last year.

I’d like to answer luukes post.

First of all, we have an ATG defense and special teams, and the only thing holding us back from number 7 is our atrocious offense.

What could we have drafted differently at WR? For one, draft better. NKeal had a lot of question marks coming out of college.

Here is one scouting report

“Team sources say that Harry is not real twitchy or explosive. They worry about how he is not fast in and out of breaks and don't see suddenness. Some sources said that Harry reminded them of Ole Miss wideout Laquon Treadwell, who is currently headed toward bust status for the Vikings. Some other sources say they are grading Harry on the second day of the 2019 NFL Draft and feel he is akin to Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Devin Funchess. One team source said they originally planned on grading Harry in Round 2, but were lowering him to the third round. “

I saw a lot of this yesterday. No separation, and no acceleration which means he’s not gonna catch balls in the open field and have YAC ability. There are other rookie WRs we passed up on who have shown elite separation ability which is what we could have used. Harry looks like a slow plodder, with good body control in red zone, but very poor hands.

Wasn’t John Brown a FA? Why didn’t we go after him? He’s not too expensive and is a big reason why Buffalo is 8-3

Mohammad Sanu for a second was a big overpay, but we had to do something to make up for Gordon’s abrupt decline, and the AB release. I’m a fan of Sanu as a slot guy, but he has zero ability downfield.

I agree TE is a huge issue and we dropped the ball. Need to invest high draft capital at that position. Sounds like we tried to trade for OJ Howard

10 years ago, I would've been screaming "Yeah" after that hit but not today. Today, I would be expecting a flag, just like Brooks got hit with. Instead, I see a slo-mo replay with helmet paint flying away and see Heath rubbing his head afterward, dazed from his head shot, and no call.

Lol helmet paint? You sure that’s not water since it was, you know, pouring rain?

His hands were cold

Why was my happy thoughts thread merged with the regular thread? It defeats the entire purpose of having a happy thoughts thread.

Barring collapses, if the Rams lose tonight, the NFC playoff field is probably set.

49ers
Seahawks
Saints
Packers
Vikings
NFC East winner

The AFC picture is much more muddled at this point.

Yeah - looked like a good hit to me. There was no helmet to helmet right?

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that was hilarious.

I would like to see harry shed 5 to 7 pounds in the off-season. He’s 225 and already muscular on top. Almost reminds me of gordon right now. I think between 217-220 could maybe help him get a little more quicker. If you looked at his high school highlights or even his freshman season he was more elusive off the line. He didn’t have those extra pounds.

That big chunk of white by Meyers' hand is silver paint from Heath's helmet where he clipped the side of Meyers' helmet. It was very obvious during the slo mo replay.

Given what he's shown so far, a hands issue is not at all concerning moving forward.
Maybe I don’t understand what you are saying but if he catch the ball that’s a major concern.

Are you trying to say if Harry took a dump (5-7 lbs) before the game all his problems would be solved?
