BS cherry picking. Edelman was 5 for 10 last week -- without your injury excuse -- and Harry was 3 for 4. Sample sizes too small to mean crap.

He should also educate all over us how extremely prolific Edelman was in his first 3 seasons while he’s judging Harry in his 2nd game along with the UDFA rookie.....

Deus pontificated for two years when Welker left that the Pats kept the wrong guy in Edelman.....

.

Thanx for breaking radio silence, Fnord...I can't weigh in until YOU, the unofficial potentate of anti-pusillanimity, weighs in with the stark fist of reality.

They are accustomed to a pleasing 40-10 win and if it's a bloody, vicious ugly 13-9 win they want their money back.

I think the root of this is the Brady fans vs Pats fans divide. I suspect some of the Brady fans are actually afraid the team will win a Superbowl with a great defense and a mediocre offense, as it would run counter to their narrative that the last 20 years were primarily about Brady.

The Patriots defense held that Cowboys offense to single digit scoring, even without Jason McCourty, and with the pass rush not sacking Prescott even once. The whole back line deserves a lot of praise for that.

Deus, like all the resident trolls, relies on never being called out when he's wrong because we're always happy when he is. Remember when he scorned the Jamie Collins draft pick? I do...

I have no problem being called out. You just don't know what the hell you're talking about on the subject that was at hand.

I agree his numbers and his season is solid for an UDFA coming in and as depth WR. All that is great. The fact that he was WR1/2 for the game today is basically the issue. Our depth has collapsed and not all the reasons were bad luck. We chose to trade DT since we got AB. We chose to release AB prematurely. We chose to cut Gordon for tardiness. Meyers has done creditably and should continue to grow. Harry has missed too much time to be asked to be a significant contributor. They both did what they could. Still doesn't mean they weren't sloppy in the role they were thrust into.

So basically you're claiming your hindsight is superior to BB's foresight? Favorite game of our resident trolls...

This is a good example of how you're clueless on the subject. The discussion was about this week's game, specifically, and you're trying to pull last week's game into it.

Edelman's been dropping passes all year, even before he was hurt. Happens even without rain or the pressure of one of your first NFL games.

Harry was actually known for having great hands but occasional concentration drops at ASU; the net was very positive. The really promising thing today was seeing him run good routes, which he wasn't known for.

To repeat:

This was about this week's game. This was not about any other game. Edelman has been limited by a rib injury for much of the season. This week's game featured an Edelman that was injured and was seen repeatedly looking to his arm and shoulder.

THIS WEEK'S GAME

100% snark 0% content. Typical of you. Do you actually enjoy being despised?

Snark?

You made a claim. I denied that claim. I then noted your ignorance of the topic.

That's 0% snark.

You’re wasting your time, Kasmir. He’s off his meds.

No..that's not ...it's Pats fans vs. ADHD riddled POSERS that constantly pimp THEIR flavor of the year...from Chad Pennington through Mark Sanchez to Discount Double Dork and lately Mahomes and now Lamar Jackson. Afraid the Pats will win a Super Bowl??? WHAT??? Jeezus krist, Brady won the goddamned Rams Super Bowl before any of us knew him! At THAT time the argument was how could the Pats win without Bledsoe! I'm a Pats fan first, a player's fan second. You want to pose REAL fan questions? How about Discount Double Dork today??? Is Jumpy Punk Rodgers STILL the darling of all you "real" NFL fans? "He'll win way more Bowls than Brady, you just watch you stupid Pats fans!!!!". Yeah...how'd THAT BS work out for you, you fidgety goddamned chicken little know-it-alls?

I agree that, if his only point is that stiffs (comparative, not overall) play like stiffs, he's got no real point. But that's not his point. His point is that the team needn't, and shouldn't, be relying on those stiffs. And he's got a valid gripe there.

Disagree. It's the hindsight vs foresight nonsense again. Of course BB himself would have done things differently if he knew what would transpire. AB, etc. But you can't usefully criticize him for poor foresight without comparing him to other coaches/GM's foresight. Every coach/GM makes numerous mistakes, and it's trivially easy to notice them in hindsight. The important question is whether BB makes more or less mistakes than other Coach/GM's. I've never seen any of you resident trolls make a useful comparative case for BB being bad (or good) at foresight.

Preach on, Brother Joker. The Patriots won their first 3 Super Bowls as defense-first teams.

You keep being clueless. You should stop that. My post has nothing to do with other coaches/GMs. Other coaches/GMs are irrelevant to my post. And hindsight has nothing to do with it, as these arguments have been going on from moment one.

I sure hope you're drunk/stoned. It's the only excuse for your posts.

Typical and despicable as always. All assertion, no argument. Drain the snark and you disappear, hopefully soon. On that day drinks are on me.

Brady could have put more air under the ball
He’s dealing with sore elbow as we all know....I was just happy could throw it at all!!!

Assertion?

This was your post:

There is nothing factual there. It's false assertions and personal attacks, yet you try flipping it around on me. Just for one obvious example:

People have been arguing about the Patriots WRs since the end of last year and the first signings of the offseason. There were people in favor of signing DT, and people opposed. There were people in favor of trading him, and people opposed. There were people in favor of signing AB, and people opposed. There were people in favor of cutting AB, and people opposed. There were people who were in favor of cutting Gordon, and people opposed. None of that was a battle of hindsight/foresight. The WR actions and positions were being discussed and debated from day one. This week, the debate about bringing back AB continued, online, on the radio, and elsewhere. This week, we had a thread by a poster here who was hoping that the Patriots would be without both Sanu and Dorsett, and we had people arguing against that position. And this is to say nothing of discussions about other WRs who were brought in and then moved on from.

In short, none of this has been a hindsight/foresight issue. It's been a consistent series of analysis and debates of these moves, and you're talking out of your ass. And I think you've already had enough to drink.
